You should make a series on how to play all the maps. You mention starting games assuming the enemy is set up in a standard way and adjusting based off their deviations. Learning standards across the map pool would make a good series
Just wanted to ask if you've thought about making a video outlining the 'correct' way to play each map? I've seen a few videos where you've gone very in-depth on the way Bind is supposed to be played and how to punish the enemy for not playing it correctly, and would love to see similar analyses for all the other maps
@@Murmurrr that being said, low elo can still learn from it because if thats how the map is intended to be played, there are reasons the map is being played that way. if they ever go 2 flashes on bind, both flashes should be set so that one is long and one is showers is an example, and in low-mid elo you can try to com that as a pre-round plan to do it every round.
I really appreciate the time you took to vod review this ( even on the defensive half when you said you weren't going to watch it ), I've started to realize the importance of watching pro vods, and thinking about the enemy players, and how they are playing. if i want to improve I've got to actually learn and try.
@@cozyjozie hahaha i was thinking the same thing, its so bad i hate trying to coordinate strats and they just dont listen or even try to input on the teamplay, been getting alot of no-commers lately too
Great video dude! Just ranked up to silver three last night. Your videos have been so helpful, your viper guides have completely changed how I play certain maps. Thanks for the advice 🙏
That comment about TP’ing instead of retaking B through the Brim smoke in CT helped me a lot. I’ve been aware that I also hate retaking through that CT smoke, but I’m also apprehensive about TP’ing on the chance that someone is waiting/late in market. This would lead me to taking the uncomfortable fight CT over and over again. Gonna start taking the calculated risk of TP’ing more often in favor of a more comfortable fight. Thank you!
I just found your Channel two days ago and i find it so helpful, i learn so many things that i didnt know and can implement into my gameplay too. Thanks alot!!
I was honestly shocked when I saw that you had only 16k subs. The advice you're giving out is incredible and ever since I started watching like a week ago I've been improving. Much love man
I cannot tell you how much i learn through your channel, my awareness of the map and game are significantly improved and i understand some of what i have to challenge to improve more now.
I Just want to say thanks for your uploads, started watch you recently, and all of a sudden I play very different. Just a big thanks to your work! Keep it up! (Started G3 - now p2)
Dude you actually talk about strategy, game sense and fundamentals damn. It's so eye opening even though it doesn't apply in my elo yet but I'm gonna apply your solo que mindset.
i feel like ive been performing way better on bind after being aware and taking control of shower, it would be cool if u made map specific tips like this for every map (like on fracture tower control defense is probably essensial)
Damn, what a line 1:22 "Aim can hold you back but it can't carry you that much". Really helpful for me to work on my gamesense and be little less obsessive about my aim
thank u for ur content man, i never knew the stuff u've talked abt yet i'm diamond. i guess it's because all my gamesense decisions are made subconsciously, like i don't really think much about the enemy's positions or stuff but i just always know smhow.
that intro explained it to me perfectly!! i was clutching up a round in spikerush and won with what my friend called a “really good play” when in reality i was trying to pull out my golden gun, forgot how for some reason, and was jiggle peeking like a maniac trying not to panic 😂 it’s always my accidental stuff that does so well ahahah
I'm an Immortal 1-2 player, great scores on aim trainers. VT Jade/Master in Kovaaks, Aimlabs top rank etc and recently I've been thinking about how i literally just happen to do the right play instead of constructing a plan in my head then executing, and then i find your new video and guess what, here comes my answer. This content is God-sent. Simply congratulations.
I have started watching your vids recently to climb to gold. And so far all the maps i have watched are in bind. I implemented what i have learned (how to attack and defend) we almost won but the enemy jett was too good and dropped 35 k on us (i guess i just need to learn more regarding game sense etc) and now im pretty confident that i ll do good in bind like today but then i just found out that they will be swapping bind and breeze with split hahahaha
this guy is the first valorant coach ive seen that actually sounds like a coach. lots of other coaches just give tips and tricks but you go in depth of why something is wrong, how it could be avoided, and what to do instead
The fact that i went 33 and 12 yesterday as brim on pearl and then the next game proceeded to go 10 and 17 makes me wanna watch this video so much more
i think this video greatly answered my question that i asked last video, when you mentioned you would talk about this in the next. the biggest point i seem to have got from this video is that you should be making the enemies play off you when possible. as in, instead of making an uncomfortable play because of how your enemies play it, you should make the enemies uncomfortable
10:20 you're right. i have former military training, and I always hear contact as in "I've made contact with the enemy they're in front of me" which is my queu to swing with my team mate.
5:225:43 Hi, still so new I don’t have a rank and have only played a few games for anything other than deathmatch. The way you explained the shifting responsibilities of trading here clicked for me. I feel like I learned a secret I wasn’t supposed to learn yet. Cool stuff. ❤
I clicked on this video thinking it was gonna explain something about my aim labs routine or similar, but I haven't even finished the video and I've learned so much from this, you are actually a great coach man you HAVE to put a price on your coaching, you are doing charity work by making this free. Also I'm subbing, I think your videos can help me reach asc this act.
This channel is too underrated I want everyone to know if cuz u deserve it and at the same time I don't wany anyone to know about these treasures cuz I don't want the game to get harder
Im ascendant and I used to be hardstuck gold. I realized that aim is a big part but not everything. And I ended up improving mainly on crosshair placement and on actually paying attention to what the other team Is doing
Could you maybe do a comprehensive video on basic Valorant strategy? In this video you talk a lot about how a map should be played, with strong/weak sides and "correct" positionings. And punishing deviations from those. However I find it hard to find further info on this anywhere. I believe knowing correct strategy for maps in general and how to spot and punish opponent's mistakes would take me a long way as a player. Even the new Lotus strategy guide doesn't scratch this side of things as i suspect maybe these things are basic knowledge for those who have played for a long time.
i like watching games where both team have plans. im a mid ascendant player and honestly a lot of the time we are just 5 going generally one site or the other and shooting guns. idk how to play without some form of plan so i dont usually perform too well in these rounds.
Hi Mr Banana, thanks for the lovely videos and streameos. I feel like you need to make a quick 2 minute video on how to find out what to do in certain situations to help the new people discovering these videos. "How do I peek this angle on Icebox?" You'd probably pull up a Tarik vod or something and show how he peeks that angle. On the micro level it's fine I guess but most people don't have that mindset of "How do I handle that situation? Oh hey this pro plays this agent let me youtube search them in that map and skim the vod" I explained it badly but I hope you understand haha
things you say make sense but i solo queue and my team just dont listen to my plans . they are like oke so thats the game plan then decide to play whatever they want & when they listen to my plan and play with it we win the round like 90% of time.
I love how there's such a difference with Immortals and Radiants that my poor low elo a$$ can't even comprehend. Like, the part where Woohojin said "they've shown their hand" just from a fkin Sage slow orb thrown in B short. Like, my low elo ass is so confused, like what was shown? lmfao
7:18 I used to call contact explode on ecos/ when we couldn't straight up take a site, most of the time (7 out of 10) 1 or 2 people would make noise, I thought it was my elo (plat-dia), but as it turns out people just don't watch as much val content, and words mean different things to different players in solo queue
woohoo im immortal 1 episode 5. Ive been trying to climb but immortal 3's are spanking my ass, Ive accepted that im lacking something thank you so much for the guides. i would love a coaching too
Can you do a high elo terminology video? Like you were saying a lot about "contact" and there are probably other terms and phrases to improve communication I know these should be common knowledge, but most should probably consider understanding them more than they thought they would.
That’s true. Once i played Cypher on Haven and dropped 30 kills cause they couldn’t just figure out my pattern. I thought i was good and tried doing the same later on and it didn’t work cause the opponents caught up lol
Ik the brim was trying to do his smokes fast but Jesus, sometimes there are just huge gaps or he just missed stuff like top truck completely. I think he needs a brimmy lesson more then anything 😭
Well I double ranked up two times and now I have ranked anxiety (': I was Bronz2, then in the beginning of 5-3 I won the first games and started as a S1 Then I double ranked up to S3 in 5 games (4w - 1l) Then I double ranked up s3 to G2 in idk 7 game or something And now I am scared to play ranked I feel like omg everything is going good so I can mess it up any second if I play (': I will give myself time and watch some woohoojin vids to calm me down (':
I played a match yesterday as a plat vs a full diamond lobby and an unrated chamber who dropped 36 kills on chamber. Yet I feel I did better than I do in high gold low plat lobbies I get. What you say at the beginning actually makes sense now especially considering the rank difference im used to playing at. Why did I play well in that lobby? Well because I got lucky tbh lucky timings… I think lol.
You should make a series on how to play all the maps. You mention starting games assuming the enemy is set up in a standard way and adjusting based off their deviations. Learning standards across the map pool would make a good series
This for sure.
this would be amazing omg
would be amazing
Woohoojin I beg of u
Standards are tough to map out because a single agent differences can easily change how a “default” is played
I like your demeanor. No friendly talk or sugarcoating in your coaching, it makes the advice feel genuine
Honestly the only valorant youtube channel worth watching. I love the explanations of how to read possible enemy setups, it's extremely valuable.
Just wanted to ask if you've thought about making a video outlining the 'correct' way to play each map? I've seen a few videos where you've gone very in-depth on the way Bind is supposed to be played and how to punish the enemy for not playing it correctly, and would love to see similar analyses for all the other maps

I think it depends on the rank. A lot of the comments here are calls based on high imm lobbies
@@Murmurrr that being said, low elo can still learn from it because if thats how the map is intended to be played, there are reasons the map is being played that way. if they ever go 2 flashes on bind, both flashes should be set so that one is long and one is showers is an example, and in low-mid elo you can try to com that as a pre-round plan to do it every round.
the problem is maps arent linear and shouldnt be played a certain way ALWAYS, so its a large topic, itll depend alot on enemy ranks, agents, etc...
