This is proper Tom Odell, sitting by a piano, a very grand one, and not being forced to act uncomfortable front-man in a video that some stupid record exec brainstormed at a meeting, where no-one understood the artist they were dealing with. Tom Odell is organic, never wrap him in plastic. Nice upload!
Actually, I rather look forward to the videos. I like to think Mr. Odell has some input as to how his song will be represented visually. I can't imagine some record exec as you say, coming up with some of the stunning takes on Odell's songs without some guidance from The Man.

In my opinion this Live performance with the support band and singers is far superior and more full of life than the official video, plus it doesn't have the sobbing back story !

You have a really crap taste in music mate. He is an amazing musician and song writer and an incredibly talented vocalist and pianist. I saw him in concert yesterday; best concert I've ever been to. Just him, his piano and his band and it was clear he is one of the most talented artists performing right now.
