My favorites are Nancy Drew series, Royal Spyness series by Rhys Bowen, Hamish McBeth series by MC Beaton , Death on Demand by Carolyn Hart, & the Gaslight Mystery series by Victoria Thompson. There are many more, but these are ones that I pick up when they come out! I love that you review cozy mysteries. It's my favorite genre!
They all sound amazing! Murder she wrote is my classic favorite. Thanks for sharing, I wanted to try a new one and was not sure which one to choose. A cruise with Jessica would be perfect 😍
The Seaside Cafe series is fantastic and I picked it up because of your book club. I plan to re-listen to the audiobooks this summer. I'll have iced tea and lemon cake ready for the re-listen! I've never read a cozy that takes place on a cruise but after this video I want to pick one up.
Started following you after recently hearing you on the "Get Cozy" Podcast. Your videos are great! My TBR has already grown x10 since following. Thank you for all of the great content and recommendations. By the way, you have the nicest smile and teeth on the in the internet! 😊
I'm really just getting into cozies, so I love getting your recommendations. I'm going on a cruise this Fall. I will have to bring along a couple of cruise cozies.
Patty-I love QE2. That was wonderful. Love the Book Retreat series as well. Jessica Fletcher and Sarah Brandt from the Gas Light series by Victoria Thompson are at the top of my list.
I definitely think reading The Bakeshop Mystery series in order is super helpful 💜 plus I love all the employees and side characters' development over time!!!
This was the perfect amount of book recommendations! Thank you. I just started reading cozy mysteries and love hearing fellow readers suggestions of their favorite books.
Love everything about this video! Murder She Wrote is one of my all time faves. I binge watch the shows periodically. ❤ I want to try all of your recs 😊
I just started the Murder She Wrote A Question of Murder. Really enjoying it. I love both cozy series by Leslie Budewitz, and whole heartily agree with your list.
I came up with my list pretty quickly - The Thin Woman, Murder With Peacocks (I am another Meg Langslow fan), Crocodile on the Sandbank, Aunt Dimity's Death, and the Sleeping Murder (or any other Miss Marple, really.) I love your list and am adding those I haven't read to my TBR.
Yes, every one of these recommendations sounds great! I really liked Fudge-Laced Felonies by Cynthia Hickey. It's so funny, and a pretty darn good mystery, too. (But it's a Christian cozy, in case you're not into that.)
Two of my favs are the Northwest Mystery series by Dianne Harman and Campers and Criminals series by Tonya Kappes. I need to try out that Donna Andrews series. Looks fun.
I love this video! I also hopped over and am following Curl Up and Clue In podcast. I recently purchased a vintage Jessica Fletcher book. I have been enjoying four of the Cat Who cozies this year.
Recently found your channel. Very informative, but I have a question. Why are most cozies not available in large print, e-book, or audio? I can’t read small print anymore, so I’m very limited for choices 😢
Many, if not most cozies are available in ebook and audio! Check places like Audible, Scribd, Hoopla & Libby (to name a few) for non-print formats - I’ve read entire cozy series in audio format alone, so you’ve got options! 😉
Sorry to respond to you so long after you left your comment. I just discovered this channel (2/5/24) and I’m getting so much great information from her. I listen to cozy audiobooks all the time. I get them from my public library. The library uses Overdrive (Libby) and Hoopla. The selection is pretty good in my opinion. The one author I liked is not available through the library which is frustrating. Her name is Maia Ross. I bought the paperbacks from Amazon. It’s good for my old brain to “read” sometimes. Best of luck finding the books you want to listen to!
