One fundamental problem with events and decisions besides the frequency and repetitive nature is that the game tells you the outcome. I find myself not reading the event or the decision I make but the outcome e.g. “gains the trait ‘lazy’” or “loses 50 opinion of you” I might find myself more invested in my decisions on the game if I do not know the outcome in advance, in fact I am going to see if I can modify the game to do this.
I agree, there needs more active things to do in the game. Feels like a game of waiting, plus with all the waiting the years just roll by making it hard to even care about the character you're playing.
One aspect that i really hope Paradox adds is building durability, this would make expanding be less of a snowball and more a planning thing. And of course motivate even more to defend your holdings from being besiege or raided.
Solid recommendations, especially about the activity timers... However, why are you as a player waiting for months on end for some random kid from Timbuktu to show up for a hunt in the Alpes. Manage your guests, i.e. don't invite entire groups of attendies like "Friends" "Extended Family" or "Courtiers", especially if some of them are on an Inspiration Quest to the far side if the world. Invite only a few groups and then invite others you specifically want there manually through character interactions. That being said, I'd really appreciate you we could determine the date when an activity starts, for example if you want to have a feast on a birthday or for a religious or cultural holiday. 9:30
So youre right - you can manage guests - but only partially. If you look at 10:30 in the background, you can see me doing this. But it doesnt allow proper suiting beyond a "set" of guests. What if the person you want to boost opinon with, or "hostile scheme", is in the same group as a kid in timbuktoo. Its annoying and another delay. This is one reason i would prefer solo outings as an option. At least in feasts we can select an honorary guest to try and circumevent some of this i suppose
Great video. As a feudal lord, I would like to have more leeway to enact my own laws. And, as such, if I decide that "X disease should be treated with radical treatments," or if I state that "all the lepers should be expulsed from my cities," or that "all poachers should be hung the next dawn," then I want my vassals to obey my town criers and stop being harassed with meaningless pop ups. My realm, my laws.
Besides, there should be more calendar based events, such as Easter, Christmas, the Winter Solstice, or the celebration of X,Y,Z Saint. Or you could ban them in your realm, if you please so.
I have the same problem with clothing: before T&T DLC the Northerners really looked like Vikings and iberian characters like medieval hispanic knights - after the release of Tours & Tournaments the high medieval western clothes are everywhere, destroying immersion e.g. norse pagan rulers have flaur-de-lis crowns or frankish hairstyle. General problem with CK3 development is adding too much, while not sorting anything - this aquieres to everything. PS: the activities like hunts should last only a few days, not A COUPLE OF MONTHS.
Also with your hunt change. What if you're hunting a wolf? But the wolf pack is also hunting you? They are pack hunters after all, so they might fancy a human noble snack ^^
Solid yap session 🙂

A great idea for the hunt progression bar. It's playful.
