      Thank you very much for your comments. Yes! They are really enthusiastic person for the hiking and mountaineering. This Mera peak climbing is second trip of them after Visit Mt. Everest Base camp in 2018, group of 26 people. I am pleased to hear you are Rosemary (Feddy’s sister).

    I find it kind of strange that it takes these fixed groups 11 to 12 hours to hike from the High Camp to the summit and then down to Khare. In 1985 we walked from Mera La to the summit and down to Thagnak in 4 + 4 hours. Started around 06:00 and summited at 10:00, starting from 5400m altitude. We came from Dingpoche over Amphu Labtsa, took 7 days to Lukla including the climbing part. No permits, no other trekkers in sight...

      I am pleased to sharing your great experience in 1985 for the Mera peak climbing and Amphu Labtsa such supper perfect physical condition. And No need the any permits during this time...
