Bad News for my 300 SRT8 | Vlog

- My 2013 Chrysler 300 has finally fallen victim of the Notorious Mopar lifter issue. At only 62k miles I have a failed lifter. So I'm trailering it home from the shop to sit in the garage for a bit before I figure out what cam I'm going to put in it. Also, bagged trailers are awesome!

I'm glad that you have your truck. At least you're not catching the bus or thumbing for a ride.
I know how u feel, my lifter went bad about a year ago. Warranty covered it. Great idea to go ahead & get the cam.

Yup...My Cylinder 3 Lifter was broke right where the roller is and the roller and pieces of the lifter were missing....huge mess...just had mine fixed and went with a Texas Speed Stage 3 Cam......since Comp Cams were about 6 weeks out on getting me a cam kit....TSP was about a week since it had to be cut.....

Good to see you again. Sorry the lifter went bad. I know they have lifter and cam issues on the 5.7's, mostly the 3rd generations but I never heard about issues with the 6.4L. Do you think its a design flaw or do you think you might have been a little hard on the engine recently?
Im betting its a broke valve spring but i love the car and it will be back soon!!

That 300 is heat bro 🔥 i have the older bodystyle i do my videos with
cylinder 4 is generally the one that the lifter goes bad on. That's the one I had lock up and ruin my cam. If ya need advice or help let me know. I just did this job myself about a year and a half ago on my 2012 300 SRT.
Hi Justin. I also have a 2012 300 SRT8. I don't have any issues with my engine but, still concerned because I'm over 100K. What kind of work did you have to do to it?
@@felipegonzalez6637 I had a stock lifter lock up and chew up the cam at 70k. I went cam and lifters out of a 6speed challenger. Turned off mds in the tune. And been good ever since.

Na. Its my daily/family vehicle.
I just posted a video of my 13 srt8 making some bad noises. Look at my last one and let me know what you think. About to tow to the shop for a year down tomorrow
