- The Metropolitan Transportation Authority (MTA) announced on June 12, 2024, that it has successfully replaced the first section of Metro-North Railroad's aging 130-year-old Park Avenue Viaduct without disrupting train service. This work represents a major step toward ensuring this critical transportation infrastructure remains in a state of good repair and enables Metro-North to continue safely delivering record on-time performance.
Great work!
Very nice and very clever use of that gantry. You're making it look easy. Hopefully the new structure will have a high axle loading than the original.
I remember 20 or so years ago work was gone on the park avenue viaduct, what work was done then compared to the work going on now
the working speed is not too bad, I'm from The Netherlands and here we can easily replace the whole thing in 2 days, but i guess for the US It's not a bad speed.
It was literally done in 40 hours time.
@@bflewis9713 was this video the 40 hours?
“OMG EUROPE BETTER AMERICA BAAAAAAD” nb needa hear it bro
@@Vxllain Europe? Lmao dude you haven’t seen how slow they are with construction in Germany, i never said that Europe is better, you’re just making up your own words now.
braindead comment, this is over one of the busiest roads and is one of the busiest train lines in nyc, and they're doing it without shutting down train service. the netherlands could NOT do this in 2 days
