      The book is amazing. It is so detailed, that if a brewery just changed there name a little bit, like changing the name from 'company' to 'brewery', in their licensing, it shows the date it happened. So, if you have two bottles from the same brewery, with slightly different embossing, you can pinpoint the date.

    I have an almost 7x4" plaque of Lincoln's head in brass. I bought it from other diggers in Waipahu. It has a green patina on it. It's a creekside dump, and the plantation there was established in the 1880s. I mostly dug 1920s stuff, but a rusty '56 Chevy was on the premises. I found mostly embossed ABMs of c1915-35. Japanese medicines. A brass Kamehameha buckle. It was a strong ROTC type school from 1900 or so to the '60s. Also bottles from China and the Philippines. In art supply stores look for fixative, a spray you use on pastel pictures. It might stabilize paper labels you dig. I dug one of 3 or 4 known 1915 Motor licenses known here, #8. That's the year the Territory of Hawaii started to issue license tags. They were porcelain until 1920. Ths motorcycle was a large brass fender washer I picked up as I filled the hole. I'd dismissed it as an A/C cooling fin. I'd found a 1917 bicycle tax 20 feet away the year before. I flaked on Waialua today.

      Most likely a common occurence!

      It was a common practice yes ma’am however finding these places is extremely difficult as most have been developed over or removed completely.

    What's with all the poison bottles?

    • @CrickDiggersInc
      @CrickDiggersInc  2 года назад +1

      Insect repellent was poison, rodent poison, even some meds were labeled as poison. Vapo cresaline which was inhaled was and still is considered a poison. Lots of things back then we’re considered poisons so lots of poison bottles in most dumps
