This is probably one of the most beautiful musical compositions that I have heard in my whole life. She is both sad and inspiring. This divine violin... You know how I rate really masterpiece music ("very interesting" for all) If you get goosebumps when listening to music, then this is a masterpiece. Crossroads elegy it's not just goosebumps, this music gets cold when you remember what kind of game it is.
Yeah, I was listening to a version with the background sounds while playing and I heard something moving in the snow. I kept looking around in-game, stopping to listen and identify what it is and where it was. It kept coming through my right ear and ultimately I realized it was the video, lol.
This theme makes me cry...it makes me realize that the world is truly an empty place...we just don't see it. If something ever happened to the earth like a zombie apocalypse, a nuclear warefare, a fatal global pandemic, or possibly the next ice age like how the Long Dark is based off of, it'll make us finally realize that this world never belonged to us. Sure, people can claim locations and say that it's theirs, but it'll always belong to nature...
I started playing the game when this just came out. This was the song that played when I opened the game up for the first time... this song will forever be nostalgic for me
I started playing this game with Crossroads Elegy was first released (sadly not an OG a player, because I was scared to ask my mom if I could play with game ((note I’m 14, so I’m not a small child))) when I hear this music, it give me a weird nostalgic feeling, even though I didn’t play since it was first released. The song is so beautiful and lonely, and yet calming all the same. This game is literally the most beautiful game ever created in my opinion. I kinda wish they would release the movie or book, but I read somewhere they won’t be until episode 5 is out.

I love how wintermutes Song is brings up The lonely desperation and will to survive, but this one while still bringing up The loneliness and hard Times but it still has hope like u could almost see The sun rising
The core of the game is constant travel to and fro, collecting supplies that's always not enough, encounter with some wild animals feels like real life survival although the game itself is so minimalistic, you always feel that you're alone out there and gotta do your job by yourself and rely only on your skills. You feel constant sadness and loneliness but you're eager to manage to survive somehow and find what you are seeking, sometimes when you are through aome blizzard and havy snowfall almost blond of that harah elements what a joy is to see the light from the warm windows fire inside, or when you have a glimpse of any kind of ahelter on the foggy horizon, as if you are experiencing it in real life. this gameplay and music is a masterpiece. Hats off, and cheers to those developers out there.
This song Crossroad Elegy feels slightly more positive in comparison to most of the tracks within the game. It perfectly sums up the long grueling journey to survive against all the odds. The refusal to surrender.

Actually the interloper is easy because there’s a pattern of how items are generated. Figure out that pattern and the rest of the game can be planned accordingly. After getting everything you need, you can go to the highway map for prolonged survival.
If you got the game on PS4 (maybe on other discs) you get the entire first volume of music, doesn’t include this, but you can purchase the second volume for like 10 dollars

I really have an open heart for enigmatic characters such as him, but the way in which he was presented it gave me serious "Lutece twins" flashbacks from Bioshock Infinite. How? There was a blizzard raging outside, a whole pack of wolves on the prowl that took me 30 stones to lure away from me, and his borderline Teleportation skills of fast travel in a winter wonderland (even if he is an elderly man) aren't a good look. But again, I am willing to be surprised by hinterland and eat my words
I think Mathusaleh is Will from the future and that’s why he can teleport and he knows everything you did,explaining why he doesn’t appear in chapter 3 because you are playing as Astrid,not to mention that Mathusalehs Jacket is very similar to wills parka

This game is just like Telltale's TWD used to be: the devs release the story episode by episode, but take 6 months or more per episode and each episode only lasts for 10 or so hours, leaving us hanging. Cant wait to play EP 4 but it'll be "sometime" in 2021. I hope I dont have to pay extra.
They already have stated that all the episodes will be free. And they are a small team split in 2. One for the story mode and the second for survival. So I can understand the wait for more episodes especially since at first the story mode flopped and the first two episodes has to be reduxed. So I give them a little slack on how long the story mode takes.But hey guys just my opinion.

Because people in the beginning really only play the story which is a good story but not ground breaking. The game isn't multiplayer so less people are interested in it in the long run. It also can be the difficulty for some.

It is quite good. yet it doesn't give me goosebumps. I preferred the original Wintermute theme the best so far.
