I see that people often struggle to categorize Bibi. She doesn't need a category. She is just good. But if you want to put her in a category she is much like a Korean version of the great (and unfortunately gone) Amy Winehouse. Compare "Step" to any Amy Winehouse song. I think that the problem of categorization mostly comes from those of us trained to expect all young women from Korea to be traditionally "Kpop". She is in a "Kpop" based industry but she doesn't conform to the expectations of that industry and she is not quite "inside" the industry either. That is where the confusion comes in. I hope Bibi lasts for a long time. She deserves it!
