    im having trouble download yfinance with pip on mac. Could you help me figure it out

    • @RaghavPal
      @RaghavPal  7 месяцев назад

      Tom
      Here are some steps you can try:
      1. Check your Python version:
      Make sure you're using a Python version compatible with yfinance. According to the yfinance documentation, it requires Python >= 2.7, 3.4+. You can check your Python version by running python3 --version in the terminal.
      2. Verify your pip installation:
      Ensure you have pip installed and working correctly. You can check this by running pip3 --version in the terminal. If you don't have pip, you can install it by downloading get-pip.py from the Python website and running python3 get-pip.py.
      3. Try different pip commands:
      Try using the full command with the upgrade and no-cache-dir options:
      pip3 install yfinance --upgrade --no-cache-dir
      This will attempt to upgrade yfinance if it's already installed and avoid any potential cache issues.
      4. Check for conflicting dependencies:
      Sometimes, conflicting dependencies can prevent yfinance installation. Try using the pip3 show yfinance command to see if any conflicting packages are present. If there are any, you might need to uninstall them before installing yfinance.
      5. Consider alternative methods:
      If the above steps fail, you can try installing yfinance from conda if you have Anaconda installed. Run conda install yfinance in the terminal.
      Additional Tips:
      Ensure you're using the correct pip command for your Python version (pip3 vs. pip).
      Make sure you have the necessary permissions to install packages in your current directory.
      Check if there are any firewall or network restrictions blocking the installation.
      If you're still facing difficulties, you can search online for specific error messages you encounter while installing yfinance.

    Hi Raghav, Need some Suggestions from you.
    I have 7.5 years Exp in Manual testing, since iam not that good at coding not finding interest in Selenium. Have seen ur video on TestProject and tried codeless automation. Iam thinking to change this role.
    What roles are possibilities for me and if i want to continue what are the other codeless automation which i can try further. Could you pls suggest

    • @RaghavPal
      @RaghavPal  Год назад +1

      Hi Sukanya
      There are several roles that you can consider with your background in manual testing:
      Test Lead/Manager: With 7.5 years of experience in testing, you can consider transitioning into a leadership role as a test lead or manager.
      Business Analyst: A business analyst role can be a good fit for you as it involves understanding and analyzing the business requirements, creating functional requirements, and testing the software.
      Quality Assurance Analyst: A quality assurance analyst role typically involves creating and executing test plans, creating test cases, and reporting defects. This role may be a good fit for you if you have a strong understanding of software development life cycle (SDLC) and quality assurance processes.
      Usability Tester: A usability tester is responsible for evaluating the user experience of a software product and making recommendations for improvements.
      If you are interested in codeless automation, you can consider the following tools:
      Katalon Studio: It provides codeless test automation for web and mobile applications.
      Applitools: It provides visual testing and helps to catch UI issues.
      Testim: It provides codeless test automation for web applications.
      Eggplant: It provides codeless test automation for a variety of platforms, including web, mobile, and desktop applications.
      Note: Before transitioning to a new role, it is important to consider your skills and interests, and align them with the requirements of the role. You can also gain additional skills through online courses or certification programs to increase your chances of success.

    • @RaghavPal
      @RaghavPal  Год назад

      Hi Gaurav,
      Yes, in the Eclipse IDE, you can switch between different perspectives to work on different types of projects.
      To switch to a Java perspective, you can go to the menu bar, select "Window", then "Perspective", and then "Open Perspective". From there, select "Java" and click "OK".
      Alternatively, you can also use the "Perspective" button located in the top-right corner of the Eclipse window to switch between perspectives quickly.
      Note that switching perspectives may change the layout of your Eclipse workspace and the available tools and menus, so it may take some time to get used to the new environment.

    When I tried to apply my python.exe into the interpreter and it took me to a screen saying to finish the setup process. On that screen it is saying to modify, repair or uninstall. If I do any of those 3, Eclipse says that it was unable to get info on the interpreter. "No output was in the standard output when trying to create the interpreter info for user"

    • @RaghavPal
      @RaghavPal  11 месяцев назад

      The error message "No output was in the standard output when trying to create the interpreter info for user" means that Eclipse was unable to get any information about the Python interpreter that you are trying to use. This could be due to a number of reasons, such as:
      * The Python interpreter is not installed correctly.
      * The Python interpreter is not in your PATH environment variable.
      * The Python interpreter is not a valid Python interpreter.
      To fix this error, you need to make sure that the Python interpreter is installed correctly and that it is in your PATH environment variable. You can also try using a different Python interpreter.
      Here are the steps on how to check if the Python interpreter is installed correctly:
      1. Open a command prompt.
      2. Type the following command:
      ```
      python --version
      ```
      If the Python interpreter is installed correctly, you should see the version of Python that is installed.
      Here are the steps on how to add the Python interpreter to your PATH environment variable:
      1. Open the Control Panel.
      2. Click on "System and Security".
      3. Click on "System".
      4. Click on the "Advanced system settings" link in the left-hand pane.
      5. Click on the "Environment Variables" button in the "Advanced" tab.
      6. In the "User variables for" section, select the "Path" variable.
      7. Click on the "Edit" button.
      8. Add the path to the Python interpreter to the end of the variable value.
      9. Click on the "OK" button twice to close all of the dialog boxes.
      Once you have made sure that the Python interpreter is installed correctly and that it is in your PATH environment variable, you can try running the Eclipse again. If the error message still appears, then you can try using a different Python interpreter.
      I hope this helps

      Hi Artur,
      The error message you're seeing is related to the Eclipse integrated development environment (IDE) and its use of the Standard Widget Toolkit (SWT) library. It suggests that there may be a problem with how Eclipse is managing its resources.
      Here are some possible solutions you can try:
      Update Eclipse and/or the Python plugin to the latest version.
      Try restarting Eclipse and/or your computer to see if the issue persists.
      Check that you have installed and configured Python correctly in Eclipse. You may need to double-check your interpreter settings or your Python installation directory.
      Disable any plugins or extensions that might be interfering with the Python environment.
      If none of these solutions work, you may need to uninstall and reinstall Eclipse and the Python plugin.
      If you continue to experience the issue, you may want to search online for more information on this specific error message or reach out to the Eclipse community for further assistance

      If you're unable to see the PyDev perspective in Eclipse, there are a few steps you can take to troubleshoot and resolve the issue:
      1. Check Java Version:
      - Ensure that you're using Java 8 (or later) to run Eclipse. PyDev requires Java 8 or higher
      - If you're not using Java 8, update your Java version and restart Eclipse.
      2. Manually Open PyDev Perspective:
      - Sometimes, Eclipse might not switch to the PyDev perspective automatically after installation.
      - To open it manually, go to Window > Perspective > Open Perspective > Other..., then select "PyDev" from the list.
      3. Reset Perspective (if needed):
      - If the PyDev perspective was open before but disappeared, try resetting it:
      - Go to Window > Perspective > Reset Perspective.
      - Select the PyDev perspective if it's available.
      4. Check Working Sets (if applicable):
      - If you have a working set created and selected, new projects might not show up.
      - To test this, go to:
      - PyDev Package Explorer > View Menu button (pointing down) > Deselect Working Set.
      - If you had a working set but more projects in that workspace, more projects should show up
      5. Run Eclipse as Administrator (if needed):
      - Sometimes, manually renaming/moving the Eclipse installation folder and reinstalling PyDev can help.
      - Try running Eclipse as an administrator and reinstall PyDev.
      - Note: When the initial installation directory of Eclipse is not changed, PyDev should work correctly
      Remember to follow these steps, and hopefully, you'll be able to see the PyDev perspective in Eclipse

      * Click Apply and Close
      Step 3: Check if the PyDev perspective is available
      * Go to Window > Open Perspective > Other
      * In the Open Perspective window, look for PyDev in the list of available perspectives
      * If PyDev is not listed, try restarting Eclipse and then check again
      Step 4: Reset the perspective
      * Go to Window > Reset Perspective
      * Select the PyDev perspective from the dropdown list
      * Click Reset
      Step 5: Check if the PyDev perspective is visible
      * Go to Window > Open Perspective > Other
      * In the Open Perspective window, look for PyDev in the list of available perspectives

      Whenever I installing in eclipse ide it was showing the waring as "You are installing software that contains unsigned content. Can you please tell me.

    • @RaghavPal
      @RaghavPal  Месяц назад

      What does it mean?
      Eclipse is warning you that the software you're trying to install doesn't have a digital signature or certificate that verifies its authenticity. This means that Eclipse can't guarantee that the software comes from a trusted source or that it hasn't been tampered with.
      Options:
      1. Install anyway: This option allows you to proceed with the installation despite the warning. By choosing this option, you're acknowledging that you understand the risks and are willing to take responsibility for any potential issues that may arise from installing unsigned software
      2. Cancel: This option stops the installation process. If you're not sure about the software or its source, it's recommended to cancel the installation to avoid any potential security risks
      3. Details: This option provides more information about the unsigned content. It may give you additional details about the software, such as the publisher or the specific components that are unsigned. This can help you make a more informed decision about whether to proceed with the installation
      What to do?
      If you're certain that the software comes from a trusted source and you've verified its authenticity, you can choose to Install anyway

      Hi Tanya
      Here are the steps on how to integrate Python and Eclipse on Mac:
      1. Install Python. You can install Python from the Python website.
      2. Install the PyDev plugin for Eclipse. You can install the PyDev plugin from the Eclipse Marketplace.
      3. Configure PyDev. In Eclipse, open the Preferences dialog. In the "PyDev" section, select the "Python Interpreter" tab. In the "Interpreter" field, enter the path to the Python interpreter that you installed in step 1.
      4. Create a new Python project. In Eclipse, create a new project. In the "Project type" field, select "Python".
      5. Write some Python code. In the project, create a new file and write some Python code.
      6. Run the Python code. Right-click on the file and select "Run as" > "PyDev Script".
      Here are some additional things to keep in mind:
