Man, these are the calls you never want to hear over the radio... 🤔 A couple of years ago I heard a mayday from a Pilatus over the radio when I was in the pattern with my 182RG, his engine completely ripped itself apart giving him a pucker factor of 250... Good thing he had plenty of altitude to make a safe landing at my home field and seeing that engine after was something to behold! 😛

That night was absolutely ridiculous, fielded like 6 straight calls half of which were GSW/no pulse before getting the call about air1. Amazing way to end the night, really glad you and Ryan decided to go with it! I was legitimately tired by the time I actually had a chance to return to quarters lol
This actually gave me goosebumps, and a reminder of the Broward Sheriff’s Office Fire Rescue helicopter going down a couple months ago.

That life raft brought to mind when I was in Merchant Mariner training. We had a raft exactly like that one. The goal was to flip it over by ourselves in a large pool. The hardest part is climbing on top of the overturned raft. Once you are on the raft you have these two lines that you grab and have to pull and fall backwards into the water righting the raft. Then you have to climb in which is no easy feat alone as well.
Fantastic rp with the bird strike. Great work, both of you.
