The Championship Battle continues in the GT Academy as we head to Snetterton.
Mike Taylor’s four race wins at G-Fest put him at the top of the championship table. Fast from the get go, Taylor hasn’t been on the top step since Oulton Park. That all changed at Anglesey as he fought wheel-to-wheel with title contenders James Nicholas and Harry Gamble to take a clean sweep of wins at Anglesey
James Nicholas (W2R) had a mixed G-Fest. With a quadruple pole position for the weekend and two podium finishes, a DNF doused his points streak. He’ll be continuing to chase both Mike Taylor Harry Gamble and close the gap to the championship lead.
Gamble (Elite Motorsport) goes into Snetterton 2nd in the championship despite only one win so far this season. A consistent run of point scoring race finishes and podiums has kept him in the fight so far, but as the points gap closes will he continue with his consistency strategy or push for maximum points?
Thomas Balfe returns to the grid along with Marc Elman (SVG Motorsport) and current GTA championship leader Julian Wantling (E3 Sport). Emma Tomlinson achieved her first class win this season and followed it up with a second after a race long battle with MDD Racing’s Paul Livesey.
E3 Sport’s Jamie Caudle took his maiden podium at G-Fest. Looking comfortable at the top of the mid-pack, Caudle could become a frequent podium contender.
Mike West, Lucie Hodgson, Peter Thompson and Paul Thomas all return to the grid for Snetterton as well as Gareth Thomas who heads to Snetterton with his first podium since the opening round at Oulton Park.
