A prominent teacher once said to me on this topic that in the Italian school of partimento parallel 5ths are fine between two middle parts in keyboard music, even in the rudementary rule the octave excersises, because they cannot be heard.
@RichardusCochlearius It's confusing because we are all taught parallel perfect fifths are bad in part writing, but in the rule of the octave (first position in C major) there are two parallel perfect fifths in the top parts above the A and B! Is there a specific reason why this allowed?
Hi Pauc, I am actually absolutely certain that every teacher in the world knows and shows this particular version in Camillo Angleria's source. They talk about it in all the books, even in Piston, especially when Angleria shows an example in which by poetic license two fifths can be done even if the second is perfect! All teachers do it so much, that the many people I know who study harmony, have received a nice mistake from their teachers. Obviously it is a joke, because, in fact, as you say, all teachers know it.

@BachFlip angleria says poetic license. An universal and mathematical reason luckily does not exists
Every harmony teacher knows and do explain that. Being rude and using clickbait won't help your channel in the long run
