    your 2nd loop is an open circuit so the Vth should be just across the 7 ohm resistor

    in mesh 2, I2=0, so cannt we say voltage drop across dependent source will b zero....??

    first the dependent voltage source is 7Ix but then later is changed to 10Ix????!!!!

    if there is a open circuit, how do you apply mesh current method ? i mean the second mesh wouldnt be a "mesh". because the mesh is one closed loop.
    Second question is if you would apply node voltage method at the middle, how would be the equation like ?
