    Just a heads up, the synchro effect of the monsters is a soft once per turn. It’s no a hard once per turn. You reborn Paidra you can use it again for example

    Great video! Went to my first locals in about 10 years. Been keeping up, but not a master of everything. Brought my salamangreats (Not upgraded except for putting my gazeles back in) and faced an Abyss Actor deck. He just kept doing effects, not saying anything, like I knew what they did. I've faced them on Master Duel, but of course Master Duel tells you if you can or need to interact. This guy just kept playing through and not saying anything, as well as other players asking to see my pulls from my Pre Release box of LEDE when I don't know these people. Wish I could deal with locals to go more

    in g1, they cannot imperm nor ash chundra, remember that its effect procs in damage step. Same thing goes for sp, since you mentioned it during g3.
    Also, tenpai's quick synchro effect is NOT once per turn, they are soft once, so if you reborn them from the gy, you can synchro again with them.

      In reference to Imperm and Ash it's more so Ash on Kaimen and Imperm before damage step.
      But yes the not HOPT was my mistake I just didn't want to believe they would allow this deck to have even more broken attributes

    Since the negate was used, Ghost ogre could have traded with IP @10:20 instead of being thrown away.
    Activating the field spell was irrelevant at this point for the protection, only useful for a safe otk. SS Magna for the body, NS Chundra, BP attack lo then get Paidra to get the Quick play, attack lo with paidra, attack with Magna either Sauravis (3 attacks done).
    Then to play around Sauravis, CL1 Paidra CL2 Chundra make lvl7 Bident then CL1 can't resolve properly, revive Chundra. CL1 Quickplay CL2 Chundra synchro summon the new lvl10 using Magna. CL1 turn everything to attack CL2 Fadra revives anything. Now Sauravis is checked, you run over anything except lo with the lvl10, synchro summon Trident Dragion with lvl7 + Fadra, pop the field spell + the revive and do an attack on lo without giving up the new synchro 10 protection at all.

    • @zephyrwargamesyugioh
      @zephyrwargamesyugioh  2 месяца назад

      Yeah as mentioned in the commentary I completley blanked out IP,
      The field spell wouldnt have been irrelevant as it would have meant no matter what IP went it it couldn't clear the Tenpai, at that point With magna and Tenpai on board I would have then had the ability to dodge SP eff in BP and jump straight to transendent.

    Was there any merit for the VV player in G1 to flip the trap as cl2 to droplet, then chain i:p masq to the trap so that they get value out of their board? An S:P will help out at least one field spell and perhaps one dragon effect interrupt? The trap can then still be live to either spin back guardian for sauravis or have a pop 1 pending the situation.

    • @alphadragon7679
      @alphadragon7679 2 месяца назад +1

      You're right on principle, but droplet doesn't target, so the summoned S:P will be negated before it could trigger its effect.

    • @zephyrwargamesyugioh
      @zephyrwargamesyugioh  2 месяца назад

      I didn't keep veiler in, kept droplets and droll in as all 3 (shifter inc) are really good to shut down the game, you just don't plan on opening all if them and you can't directly search any of them plus if you open multiple you uterlise the ones you feel are most effective and hold the others back for follow up like in the example or holding droplets back in hand.

  • @anthonyquinn1474
    @anthonyquinn1474 2 месяца назад +3

    In game 3 you wouldn't have taken the damage when attacking with Chundra, because once you summoned Fadra, his effect would allowed you to summon Paidra, all taking place at the start of the damage step before your attack even goes through.

    *2nd week playing Voiceless..
    G1 I misplayed by adding old man sauravis to hand (couldn’t summon with trap from deck to cheat out ritual sauravis to negate a synchro).
    Also should’ve read the main phase line and tried to pop at end of main 😅
    Good game tho, glad I kept it competitive :)

    • @babrad
      @babrad 2 месяца назад

      Did you add the trap with Skull Guardian in g1 @1:30 ?
      Generally going for IP is a bit greedy and opens you to Nib + Imperm that otherwise this deck completely ignores. Also a hidden Bystial is always stronger than a known Bystial so it's better to keep Magna as an interruption then either get Druis if the opponent has a strong board or Saffira if you need the followup on their turn.
      Tenpai can cheat out your Sauravis if they use both effects of Synchro Summon as CL1 and CL2 making it miss the timing for the initial Synchro 7. From that point if they can go meteorburst keeping the quickplay for the green dragon it's gg. If they can't Sauravis will solo them, especially if you place the new continuous spell instead of the trap.

      @@babradtrap was added of barrier, SG only adds monsters.
      Went for the IP play as I had skull/ lo on field for the negate protecting me from nib (nothing else I needed to worry about at that point), barrier protected from imperm.
      Didn’t have blessing for this match but would’ve helped especially under shifter g3 when I placed 2nd barrier.

    17:29 I think you should have revived Fadra instead of Chungdra. That way you could have synchro summoned Trident Dragion using Bident, destroy Trascendent and special summon it back to the field once again; that way you have an extra 3K damage & destroy a card on the field.

      Youd sacrifice your whole board, for 1 card so youd just be swapping your one omni (skull guardian) for appo if played or SP if not which can be played past

    • @Sutobuto
      @Sutobuto 2 месяца назад

      @@zephyrwargamesyugiohWhats the difference then? Droplet kills the entire board regardless so might as well omni the Sangen to make Radiance and Imperm live AND have a live Apo as well.

    • @zephyrwargamesyugioh
      @zephyrwargamesyugioh  2 месяца назад

      @@Sutobuto You can never guarantee what the player has left, so If you chain the trap and then Ip, you use up everything and if the player has Imperm Appo is dead, at least if you keep the bodys on board there are more for the tenpai player to have to push through, plus you can then keep the trap card to special and add more bodys to the board while gaining resource for the crack back.
      Yes with heinsight of knowing what has in hand you could dodge Drolplet by going into appo and leaving the spell live so you dont fear imp, even then.
      The trap just becomes main phase resource management, the set imper can still cause an issue, but if you leave the field spell up, that can only be used during BP, which can still be good, but very easily Paidra - met with Appo if they hard open kaimen go BP, activate Kaimen get Chundra, chundra eff to summon from deck, chain appo, chain chundra to synchro, chain imp, chain paidra - make the sync 7 still attempt to use effect hit with appo, then kill appo.
      Obviously it wouldnt have led to game either way, but a lot of unknown to consider and also this was the first weekend facing tenpai so your not always sure on the best weakpoints.
      Not saying the play your suggesting is bad, but it only seems so obvious on reflection of what happens next, not taking into account all possible options.
      In this senario the decision to keep the pop, imperm and numbers on the board was chosen over putting all eggs in one basket.
