We are a very pressing team, and the one who presses the most is gallagher. He is the one who makes the interceptions in the final third. He was playing terrible in the beginning of the season bc poch played him out of position, but now he’s playing where he should be playing, in Enzo’s position, and you can really see his talent. And honestly, after the clear out in summer 2023, we have almost no home grown talent which fans can connect with.

      As an arsenal fan, if we’re being realistic. Smith Rowe is an amazing talent, he stepped up when we were extremely poor at the end of 2020 in that 3-1 game against Chelsea. He then helped us maintain form and earned the 10 for us with ease. However he ultimately sustained an injury and odegaard stepped up to a level above and ESR just simply can’t break into the first team, when he’s subbed on he’s decent but he isn’t as flashy and pacey as he was a few years back. He won’t ever get game time in arsenal and I really hope he does leave to show his true talent because he’s genuinely my favourite youth product we’ve had in recent years.

    This team just needs time, Poch needs time. Even with Silva leaving, Chelsea do not need any experience or new players coming in which these pundits are clamouring for. We have James, Chilwell, Colwill and Gallagher developing as our core leadership contingent which can drive the team going forward and instil our values. There is no need for any new, older player(s) coming into the group, having to adjust to the team themselves and try pulling rank when Reece James is already there. James is well-respected and his influence is already felt behind the scenes (a constant figure in the background, spoken highly of by his peers, attends youth games, supports players and staff ala JT) he just needs to lead on the pitch and stay fit. We just need our injured players fit and a stable squad. No new players are required, not even a new striker. Jackson does everything we need in our build-up play, arguably as well as most top-tier strikers, once he adds more goals to his game he'll be devastating. His close control, link-up play and passing range will only get better with time, a very unique skillset and profile similar to Henry (a left winger until he added goals to his game). With Nkunku coming back and Washington available, we're covered in that department. Even in our defensive midfield, Lavia could come into the base or even Ugochukwu if we require height or more strength. Centre back is covered as well, sadly even if Chalobah leaves, we have Fofana coming back into the fold. The 1 billion outlay wasn't just spent for the first eleven, we have multiple positions covered across the squad.

Probably, City would have sold him to Arsenal even at a cheaper price, like 25m or 30m. To be honest, I thought Chelsea was wasting 40m on an academy player who has not really established himself in City first team.

      I would strongly disagree, the only questionable one is sterling and that’s only cuz of his age, caicedo has been proved very valuable, when he actually gets support. Mudryk has shown glimpses of class just needs game time to develop his game, and enzo is a bit inconsistent but a great talent

      @@Bijuu223 the others have been horrible . caicedo and enzo have done nothing between them the whole season . both look so average . Mudryk shouldnt even be a footballer mate lets be real .

      @@James91x not really when you watch the matches Enzo has played this season he has been really good. He's not an attacking midfielder so you don't get those stats that you are looking for. But since the time Todd has taken over Enzo even last season was the one fighting every match. Note this you'll see Enzo shining in the upcoming seasons. Even mudryk should be given more time. The same with Caicedo, bro it's literally just his second season (keep the transfer fee aside you have someone who can develop into a really good player in the upcoming seasons).

      @@karthikraj4903 so wrong bro . We got completely done over signing enzo and caicedo £235 million combined ... At most there both £30 mill maximum , This season we have to sell to buy now because we blew so much on below average midfielders.
      When chelsea signed caicedo , all chelsea fans were taunting liverpool about it , one season later liverpool fans are taunting us we got done over completely

    Let's pump the brakes on this Cole Palmer hype:
    * Of the 7 goals Cole Palmer has scored against the Premier League top-6, 5 have come from penalties and 2 from open play. - - The 2 goals from open play have come against Man United
    * Cole Palmer has scored 10 of his 20 Premier League goals against the current nr. 15 and down
    * Open-play goals against top-6: 2
    * Open-play goals against middle-7 (7th-14th): 2

    * Open-play goals against bottom-6: 7
    * Open-play goals against non-bottom-6 teams: 5
    * Cole Palmer has managed to score three goals (1 penalty) against the middle-7 teams in the Premier League.
    * 9 of his goals are penalties
