An awesome museum. The glass ceiling is gorgeous! Love the pocket watches. The clocks are fab! Love the cow and milk maid clock. Fabulous. The workmanship and beautiful detail is so amazing. Loved the historical artifacts and exhibits of the ancient Europeans, Roman, and Egyptian displays. Crouching Venus is just so beautiful! I imagine that in person, the statue looks so much more beautiful. Thank you for you narrative. I will watch again to catch all this impressive history!

Haven't been there since I was a child. I don't think I could pick a specific place I would 🤔 go first. We think we are so clever these days and we can do anything with our technology. Museums remind us that the way things were made without our current technology could be just as amazing. Electric cars were around in the 1800s. The details on the watches were just gorgeous 😍. The lids were something else. All of them made by hand, some so long ago without current machinery. The jade is beautiful and I would love to own some pink one. The details made were so pretty 😍. Like you said the fight over the Elgin marbles has been going on forever. I personally think that 🤔 we should give them back to Greece. A lot of that is true for other exhibits in museums from other countries. I think the Rosetta Stone is incredible. The writing ✍ was so small and you really couldn't make a mistake. I love the mummies and the tombs. I can see why it was the most popular. Again from another culture. They are so beautifully made and it is interesting to see what they were buried with. Glad to see they have a warrior 👸👑. I have been watching history posts on RUclips and they explain about what it meant. I am interested in the Aztec and Mayan culture even though they were so barbaric. The Hall of Enlightment was above your heads when you were young. All the silverware from the same site was also very pretty. I really do have to thank 😊 my parents for taking my brother and me to all of the museums in London when we young as they really gave us a wonderful education 👏❤. My dad and I also both loved history(and maps). One of my early job choices as a child was to be an archeologist and go and discover things abroad and in England 🇬🇧😀🙂😄.

Wow Lesley, what an impact this place had on you when you were young, that's incredible. Yes as a timepiece and reference to what humanity could do long ago with the then equivalent of technology is remarkable! Yes the Rosetta Stone is one of those pieces that you can just stare at for hours looking at the details - totally mesmerising - thanks as always :)
