Tip for People who loves using Queen's Wings, always combo it with Rose Gold Meteor, it will make you pretty much unkillable for a few seconds which allows you to regain most of your health back

But actually cooldown reliant item passives has disadvantages tho,coz it has a huge timer... for example if enemy are not brainless, they'd just poke ur HP until such passives like Queen's wing trigger,and once they done bait/ trigger ur item passive, they'd just dive into you or commit to objectives, while you wait for your Queen's wing passive to be ready again,same goes for Rose gold

This is pretty much trash item. Oracle gives a much better effects and more, in all condition. When using rose gold or not. Oracle still the better item.
Not to mention the damage reduction and the spell vamp has a long cooldown.
The only scenario I would use this item is for a mm, where you have slot for rose gold and needs extra hp, but if you had that much money I would rather spent on Wind of Nature
What makes it not as popular as before is bcs its old passive had *40% dmg reduction* and that srsly made everyone be able to buy it and take almost no dmg but since its become 20% it just isn’t that proper to be a defense item compared to its peers. So Queen’s Wings would only be limited to heroes with lots of spellvamp
it had only 50 seconds cooldown too

It never had a cooldown before. It was the best item on the old chou where queens wings reduces dmg and oracle forever heals him and the 1st skill is only 4 seconds long. It made him pretty unkillable
Imagine they buff the passive from 5 sec to "until you leave the battle/fight"
Queen's Wings is a very underrated item for Fredrinn, its mechanics is really in sync with Fred's Gameplay..as for other Heroes, I think Alpa is also pretty good with it since he's a skill spammer and is most of the time built tanky.
I personally like using it as 5th or 6th item on Carmilla since her ult's shared dmg are counted as skills dmg from her so the spell vamp works on it. On top of that, the dmg reduction also increases her chance to actually use ult when getting stun-locked

@@Baddas_ I think it needs some defense stats to be useful or make it have permanent 5-10% damage reduction. I recently took it out of my alpha build cuz there were better options.

@@Baddas_Nowadays, people only use it in conjunction with War Axe, because of the new passive Defiance, allowing you to gain extra attack as you lose HP.
For me, Queen's Wings is useful to Edith if Edith's Wrath is max it can fill up her HP if you add some Magic Lifesteel or Inspire.
Even without Queen's Wings or magic lifesteal item a full wrath edith can fill hp
Bro, if you have extra slot I'd rather spent it on Concentrate, it has better magic life steal, and extra magic power while lacking 300 hp and 10% cd.

I remember back then, queens wing is one of the best last item for any physical hero. Now, it has so many nerfs and is only capable for some heroes.

Current implementation should either have shorter cooldown (not necessarily half of current) or add more damage reduction.
It also used to be lifesteal which was non issue for Ruby, maybe get it to be changed to hybrid lifesteal (from advance server)
I think odette should be here because queen's wings is really helpful if she also builds it with winter truncheon since u can get a lot of spell vamps with Odette's ult.
Can be a potential synergy for gatot passive but i usually build this on Belerick as 3rd or 4th. It helps on tanking when you cast Ultima on more than 3 enemies.
If you insist buying queen’s wings, be sure to pick a fighter that relies on spell vamp, and your emblem must be festival of blood.
Bloodlust axe (BLX) is your main spell vamp item.
Have at least one or two physical defense items, and at least one or two magic defense items.
Preferably:
>> dominance ice + radiant armor
>> dominance ice + Athena’s shield
Buying oracle to synergize the spell vamp and trying to compensate for the anti-heal is optional. Oracle has mediocre magic defense stats in exchange of 10% CDR and 30% healing boost. If you insist buying oracle, expect mages to kill you easily without Athena’s shield to back you up.
BLX and QW both give you a total of 20% CDR, so if you really need your skills to be spammable, get oracle for a total of 30% CDR. Then again, expect mages to kill you easily. 60-sec cooldown from QW passive will simply add insult to injury.
Your most common technique is that while you indeed have one phy def item and one mag def item, along with queen’s wings, the combination is almost always “QW + immortality + oracle”, or “QW + immortality + rose gold meteor”. It’s not gonna make you durable if you ask me.
Immortality has 20 physical defense, equal to that of twilight armor. Only thing immortality is useful is its passive, but with a long-ass 210-sec cooldown.
The shield of RGM is much more favorable without QW. If you have a hero that sustains thru both physical lifesteal and spell vamp, then QW + RGM may work for you. But I don’t think it will, obviously because of anti-heal.
You still think that 20% damage reduction is worth it. It fucking isn’t.
20% damage reduction without defense items is not worth it for your fighter. That’s why you need items of high defenses to complement the mediocre damage reduction of queen’s wings. You need bloodlust axe to complement the spell vamp that queen’s wings give.
Now you think of using vengeance over the normally used flicker.
Vengeance alone gives you 35% damage reduction and deals 35% of the enemy’s damage as magic damage. However, vengeance doesn’t fully function if you don’t take any damage.
Remember that queen’s wings require you to lose 60% of your max HP to activate the passive.
Your HP is not protected by queen’s wings when you are at 100% HP to 41% HP. 40% HP and below, it only has 5 seconds to protect you. Five seconds to reduce the damage, five seconds for you to sustain and out-heal in clutch situations. Max-cap FOB + BLX + QW will give you 45% spell vamp at full HP, and 80% spell vamp for 5 seconds at low HP. If you die within the 5-sec window, you know exactly what I mean.

Even if I myself use this item, I have to make my fighters tanky, with additional defenses, for the stupid damage reduction to get complemented. BLX + FOB is enough. Why is there a need for queen’s wings?

Using it beside Belerick ult + vengeance make you deal a lot of damage while you get tougher in the same time

Used to poke badang with belericks passive before. Can also kill him. But idk what's wrong with him now even with lots of HP and defence he is so squishy now.
For mm i use this on granger a lot. 1k hp is so good. And the unique skill really save u a lot in hectic team-fight.
Another reason to get Queen's Wings: defense gives diminishing returns. Each point of physical or magic defense you get provides less damage reduction than the last. So if your hero has a skill that gives them defense, Queen's Wings' high health, spell vamp, and damage reduction boosts your survivability more than most other tank items.
One example is Ruby, whose passive gives her 105 physical and magic defense at max stacks at max level. Same with Barats, easily reaches super high defense even without items. They don't even need items to hit 150 defense for both.
it works the other way around too, the damage increase from penetration and defense reduction is lower against enemies with higher defense.
The BEST thing to buff this UNDERRATED item is to make the addtional spellvamp, when passive is triggered, to not be affected by lifedrain or anti-lifesteal effect since the cooldown is already way too long and almost all the enemies have lfedrain/anti-lifeteal items in late game
Still weak. 20% damage reduction is useless. Better pick Martis or Terizla instead of buying queen’s wings.
Useful tip! Thumbs also regarding details about true damage and how to counter them by building items giving lots of hp unfortunatelty this also countered by black sword item (forgot the name) and sea halberd dealing dmg based on enemy max hp.

Queen's wings works the best with fighters, because it allows fighters to gain damage reduction and a very high spell vamp which most fighters relies on skill damage and regeh effects, with this build in your fighter, even the anti regen item users would have a hard time against you, but with the Queen's wings, it's the best time build dominance ice + oracle with it, to not just enhance regen, but to lessen enemy regen as well, this is a very normal strategy among the exp laners, and yes, even me use this, with Thamuz and his son (not really a son, but he kidnapped him, it's nothing other than Dyrroth), Terizla, and especially Lapu Lapu
Oracle gives much better effects while lacking only 10%cd and 180 hp
The cd on queen wing is too long that it virtually makes this item useless. While not giving you anything other than xtra hp and a minor 10% cd reduction
Queen's Wings is just weird, you need damage to use the spell vamp and be already tanky enough to keep fighting between it's 60s cooldown (and because DMR doesn't protect you from negpen); so the only heroes who use it are heroes with defensive abilities like Terizla who comes with DMR on his passive.
Maybe it's should get a flat MS stat Blood Wings like so Fighters can use it as a 7th item replacing boots? or maybe that'd be too OP.

Still remember those days when queen's wings gave more damge reduction and extra lifesteal instead of spell vamp . This item used to be the favourite last pick for most of the mms like moskov ,miya and karrie for survivality and lifesteal

Before the changes , this was my next item if Immortality is used up, it has a shorter cooldown and it was previously lifesteal instead of spellvamp

If they reduce the cooldown time on this item it would be more useful. I use to spam queenwings with ruby, but haven't used it since s13 or 14.

This item also good for Dyrroth because his passive also counts as skill effect, gives him extra heal.

There is not that much different in spellvamp in original server and advance just a name change. But adjustment to other heroes is different
only magic lifesteal is really affected by the revamp, since currently it works on both basic attacks and skills.

the QW is good for physical tank's, i use that in the teamfight i always get a lot of hp to regen when i use skill, plus even they have Life drain, i can use some minions to heal me up for a bit, and also the BLADE OF DESPAIR is a good and expensive to buy and QW is good to counter the BOD maybe i need the new Emblem system for my Tank's

It's been so helpful as my only Defensive Item using Granger
I'd use it if they reduced the cool down on it, even if that meant a lesser effect. That or if it cost a bit less. Either way, if you build it as your last item you likely have around 5 -10 minutes of actual play time left, meaning you can only use it's effect 5 to 10 times in any given match. Add to that the fact that, if their paying attention to you, the enemy will see your passive and wait out the 5 seconds... It's just making too many factors to account for given you can reduce damage in different ways or up spell vamp in different ways too.
Well, you can increase the amount of HP you get back, either with Oracle or just adding another damage item and getting more back that way
I remember using this item on belerick (before revamp) good times to use that item together with concentrated energy to make use of belericks passive and then use the ult to reduce my damage even further while Tanking all the hits in thw group fight and almost getting a savage because how stupid it was.
I miss old belerick and old feramis ulti :')
@@behindview99 new belerick isn't bad but it's role as a tank kinda diminished since it's more offensive orientated and revamp faramis is not good. Also, another reason belerick maybe not a popular choice is because most of the defense items change like Oracle, concentrated ect

@@behindview99 items might contribute it as well since oracle no longer heals when take damage, the effect of demon wings to almost take not damage is gone, immortality not magic defense, concentrate energy no longer has spell vamp. Makes it hard for people to justify it's use. I still use it but you know, it doesn't feel right. I remember when I first use the revamp, it was terrible

Lylia : used as an atler to use ulti and also spell vamp for more mobility.
Yve: because of yve ulti is stand still so with that dmg reduction+ spell make her good for more survivability

Try this item on silvanna before with vengeance, get ulti by franco but enemies mm died because the reflected damage won't reduce by damage reduction, then silvanna are my choice to go whenever enemy first pick are "confident mm first pick" don't matter the hero are trinity build or crit speed build. (And the reflected damage are actually affected by genius wand, magic wand and the penetrate boot, that's why silvanna with blade armor+vengeance could kill mm while vengeance 35% and queenswing 20% damage reduction could save your ass when you got cc chain while queen's wing spell vamp also help you because 2nd skill damage are benefits to it )

I sometimes use Queen's Wings for floryn/estes when enemies do physical one-shot dmg like saber. I use it along with vengeance spell.

although current queens wings is good i still feel like they should bring back the old damage reduction, the 50% was really a game changer back then also i feel like they should make it a choice item because when it was still lifesteal based item it was really a good item on marksmans and roger the damage reduction + extra lifesteal in lower hp was really a comdback item.

Please do not recommend Queen’s Wings! It is one of the worst defensive items. 20% dmg reduction for a long 60s CD is pretty bad. You are better off getting other defensive items which give you permanent defensive stats. Magic/Physical defensive>Dmg reduction. Spell vamp doesn’t really matter because it is easily countered by anti-heal anyway.
And if you need spell vamp, there already is bloodlust axe and the fighter emblem.
i use queens wings on fanny as she relies on skills makes her have more survivability rate, 3 dmg item which is malefic, bloodlust and bod or hunter strike and the rest are optional but i always make sure one of them is queens wings

@@ravindratamang1535 for me yes aslong as you have fighter emblem tho sometimes i use assassin emblem and still uses bloodlust but its completely optional depends on your playstyle too

Queen's Wings is a mediocre item. 20% dmg reduction is insufficient. Lack of any armor or magic resistance is terrible for a defence item. Penetration items are far too effective, so everyone buys them. Therefore, this item requires 2 other defensive items. Usually, players also need boots. This is 3 *necessary* items without damage to make Queens Wings a justified choice in theory. However, spell vamp requires *damage from skills*, so there's even more items needed. The CD of passive is not commensurate to the powerspike.
it's sad because all og's use queen's wings mainly because of its dmg reduction used to be 50% and now the nerf has got it down to 20%. It has been less effective ever since

The Pros never even bother talking about this item, its too expensive and the passive is unreliable for the current meta full of CCs and true damage. What it needs though is another utility passive, maybe ogre tamahawk should be a good component for its movespeed bonus
i always use queen's wings with my hilda roam. I like the 10% CD reduction that comes with it.

10% CDR is also one of oracle’s stats. Are bushes not enough for Hilda to sustain? Is SGH not enough for Hilda to regen lots of HP? Her shield is leagues above the mediocre damage reduction that QW gives. Oracle’s far better than QW.

ARLOTT I am Pangasinan #66 arlott and my personal build is Bod, bloodlust, thunderbelt, QUEENS WINGS and Cursed helmet or immortality it's a good build for early to end game as for early you have enough damage and in late game you can still 0-100 combo squishy enemies like marksmen, mage, assassins and certain fighters
You are weak. And your build sucks even more. Ranking depends on your match count not your skill cause by random 50 percent time you will have someone who is a better player who will carry you. and winning gives you more ponts than losing in district level. Arlot is all about passive and you don't need additional spell vamp for him cause he has enough nonstop heal cause of his passive. Bod as first item means you are a dum8***. Do you even how bod costs. In terms of effectiveness hunter strike is way better than bod. cursed helmet is only good for clearing minions not as defense item. Queen wings is hardly good for defense. You wasted 4 items for what? That's why you are 66 in a random district not even the capital. Build hunter strike, malefic roar for dmg. I get two items for your bod with better dmg. oracle or rose gold for complimentary item and 3 full defense item like antique curass, dominance ice or athena for whatever is need. dumb noob. For a sustain build freya queens wing oracle is extremely good.
Haas claw berserk bod queens wing oralce is quit good for a sustain freya(only proble is it lack def stat but as long as you sustain the damage you can easily get back the lost hp)
Freya both use basic attack and skill that is why there is queens wing and haas claw and berserk for crit and increased lifesteal. Bod for high shield plus the effect of oracle.
Freya basic attack in ulimate form benefits in spellvamp and lifesteal and can stack to each other. The only problem is that spellvamp on her ulimate basic attack needs 2 or more targets hit.
Since freya basic attack while in ulimate form can hit multiple enemies both the lifesteal and spellvamp activate equals to the enemies hit and if the basic attack is crit damage both of the spellvamp and lifesteal can heal higher.
So that build increase not just freya damage, damage output but also sustain
