    @SiliconBlake It's hard to say for sure. It largely depends on the temperament of the individual dog. Also, how many coyotes your area has. We have LOTS of coyotes and many other predators as well. Usually, coyotes will not confront domestic dogs, especially in areas of population. Here, there are several thousand acres per single individual.

    Do you think a yellow lab could handle watching over a small flock of guineas? She has already shown herself to stick close to our 2 goats when they are out free-ranging. We do have coyotes though. I don't know what the lab would do if confronted with them.
