Thanks for this video ! It was really comforting to hear you talk about asexuality. I’ll definitely be checking out a couple of the books you mentioned.
Thanks for this wonderful video! I am so thrilled to find more ACE reading possibilities, as I'm ACE too. I didn't figure out my ACE identity until well past age 60. In my earlier life I just did what was expected, always baffled why I didn't feel the way I was "supposed" to, and then was overwhelmed by the tsunami of failures. To find my true self earlier in life would have changed everything!. Keep featuring ACE books! You just may be changing lives! Also, yesterday I became aware of a graphic novel for 9-12 year olds that has an ACE main character. I haven't read it yet, but I'm told its super. It is 'Apple Crush' by Lucy Knisley.
Thank you for your kind words, Barbara! 🧡 I will certainly read Apple Crush; I had not heard of it before, so I appreciate you sharing that. I am hoping to feature many more ace books on my channel as I discover and read them!
I’m Ace and just read Ace by Chen, and was so pleasantly surprised by how good it was because I had assumed it’d be stuff I already knew. Loveless is a favourite! Haven’t heard about Let’s Talk About Love or The Romantic Agenda, or Summer of Bitter and sweet! Will have to check those out.
Yes! I remember when I first started reading Ace I immediately knew it would be one I had to buy. I'm hoping to read and review even more books with ace rep on my channel!
11:00 Honestly this is why I'm thankful I didn't start college until I was 23. At the time I felt like I was falling behind, but I also had some adult years under my belt to know what I like doing and have realistic expectations Anyway, sending some bi-ace love 💜🖤🤍 I'm also in the category of discovering I was ace around 25-26 despite having heard of it years beforehand. I did have a period when I was IDing as demi until I got a solidified idea of what sexual attraction really was. Thanks for the review! This book was recommended to me a while ago and I haven't gotten to it yet~
Right! I have really enjoyed getting older because while it means more responsibility, it also means having a more wisened perspective, which helps a lot when it comes to prioritizing our personal values over society's values and knowing ourselves and all that. Thank you for watching! It's great to connect with other aces and to know others are out there 😊
