I've done a few films on this drone, and I have to say, I usually fly the Mavic 2 Pro, and just like your intro sequence, I was blown away with the quality of this little guy! It can with no problem at all, with a little bit of thinking and a tap on that exposure lock, mix and match with the more expensive drones without anybody being the wiser. Great review, thank you!
It’s six years since I last visited Glencoe. Every time I watch a video by you, the sheer aesthetics you highlight makes me desperate to get back. The panoramas just convinced me to book some time out and head up in February. 😂👌🏼

I have ordered mine after long and long hours and days of research. Here is my reasons to own one. I actually doesn't want to spend too much money that literally fly away from me,i already have a dslr. but i am willing to spend a decent amount to get some awesome shots after my wedding with my wifey. In the beginning i decided to go for Dji Tello which is very cheap but immediately revised the decision after i watched some reviews, thanks for youtubers. Then i found the mini, which is an entry level drone just after DJI spark and i found that it almost have some capabilities to stand up against even the semi pro mavic air. That really turns my head. Now there comes a firmware update for mini and it is super awesome now, it have 24fps 2.4k shooting with manual exposure, we can use ND filters that make sense. The only thing i hate is, the void front sensor. I am not just disappointed, i hate dji for removing it(even the spark have those front sensor). I recently saw a video of mini crashing into a mountain rock when it loses the signal and attempts automatically return to home, that can be avoided if it have front sensors. A drone which doesn't have front sensors is stupid. DJI have very well aware of this, even though they dont care. 350 dollars or in India 33000 INR is not cheap, if it crash into such mountains or whatever it is very unlikely to survive the crash. Luckily in that video the mini survived with some scratches and broken propeller. So my final verdict is, i hate that it doesn't have front facing sensors but i love it because of its little size and capabilities. I got plenty of cool hilly areas like Munnar, Idukki etc nearby my home for some pretty awesome cool areal shots but i need to be super carefull while flying my little birdie there.
I’ve just ordered it for Christmas I got a damaged box version for around 200 pounds it’s my first drone and I’m young, 16 so I’m excited to see how it goes and I’m only wondering if you can use nd filters on it ?? And if so do you recommend any that are pretty cheap

I’m happy with the Mavic mini it’s great to have such a simple kit with the fly more combo the gimbal is awesome. had the same issue with the wind up in the air going about 4 km\hr against the wind had to bring it down to move again but had it in really windy conditions and was surprised it’s not push around more it stays up so well

Awesome video. Great information. I own the mavic pro and a DJI spark drone. I'm considering buying this one also. As far as flying the Drone I have absolutely no problem since I'm a pilot. The thing that I'm trying to get better at is being a great photographer. Thanks so much for the free book with the tips
PGYTECH has ND filters for the Mavic Mini . I've been flying the Mavic Mini for a couple of weeks now. It's a great introductory drone but once you get above tree level the wind will take it away if GPS unlocks. It just happened last weekend to a fellow flyer and it hasn't been found . Unfortunately this drone doesn't have ATTI mode to find out how windy it really is up there .
Great video and review! Looks like DJI have listened to you guys - the new firmware unlocks 24/48fps frame rates, as well as full manual exposure control in video (and manual white balance was also done just before that)!

I do believe that you can adjust the gimbal for an upward tilt. I've seen it demonstrated but, sad to say, I've watched so many mini vids that I can't remember who's channel it was. I did find specs that stated range of -90% - 0 in default settings and -90% - 20% in extended. Hope that helps!
I thought the same about the charging. When i took it out of the box i thought I'd give it a charge with the supplied cable connected to an iPad charger.....I left it for an hour and when i came back the status LEDs hadn't moved! I then changed to the dual mode fast charger for my Samsung Galaxy Note 9 and it charged in no time! The LEDs flashed so much faster too! I'm yet to need to charge it in the car/on the go, but i suspect I'm going to encounter the same problem you did! :(

Great Video! I will say that I have had a very positive experience with my Mavic Min in the wind. It is very stable and handles quite well. I am new to drone videography, and this is definitely a great starter drone. The DJI Fly App is super easy to understand. My son has the Mavic Air and I was a bit intimidated with the layout of that app. I am glad you explained the AE lock and how to change the settings! Thanks again, I just subscribed:)

A lot less stress given the price. I’d been drooling over a mavic 2 pro because of the camera but not able to justify the investment vs the risk that I’d crash it while learning. I’ve owned every single dji drone ever launched and I was quite surprised that you said the mini can’t make the gimbal to point upward I just got mine a few days ago and if you get into advanced settings you can enable upward gimbal movement upto 20 degrees
An excellent review for photogs with very fair comments as applicable to photography and dont forget what was said about UPPER winds..they really do vary from what is at ground level. (buy yourself a small anemometer for ground wind speeds.......

great informative video. All the reviews I found for this were from the states and I feel their sunny weather can make it tough to compare to our usual grey. Toying with replacing my pro 1 with this as it will probably end up in my backpack more with the smaller and lighter size.
