If you're into motor sports you should watch Hot Rod Racing.
Saloon Stox is another good motor sports to watch as they tend to hit the wall hard and keep on Racing.
Thank you!
To answer your question: All the footage from this rally is from the WRC rally in Finland. The Ford cars are actually models from their European division, which are designed more in line with European tastes. Rally racing is based on time trials. A rally consists of multiple stages, each of which has to be driven in the shortest time possible. The driver with the lowest combined time wins the rally. WRC (World Rally Championship) runs rallies across the world, but unfortunately due to the low popularity of Rally in the US, not in the USA.
Weren't they supposed to have USA rally next year and a practice event this year? I wonder what's going on with that.
USA has Rally events, but none of them are WRC sponsored or handled. They also receive like zero media coverage other than to tell what roads are closed from what time to what time.
"The only thing that could make this any more dangerous would be if it starts raining."
Ah... sweet... wait until she sees Rally in the snow... by night. - Or Group B Rally...
The good old days when people wanted to die by a Lancia Delta S4 at 140Km/h in a turn. Today you want to be under 2 meters from the road, the steward kill you
😂😂😂
If formula 1 is all about the glamour, rally is the complete opposite. Its championship is called World Rally Championship (WRC) and it started in 1973. WRC is contested out in gravel, tarmac and even snow public roads, they even hold one championship round in Kenya!. You'll be happy to know that currently Toyota is dominating and their driver Kalle Rovanpera from Finland is the youngest ever to become world champion at the age of 22.
Fun Fact: Sebastien Loeb has the most WRC titles with 9.
and one event in Croatia!!!
Kalle back-to-back champion again in 2023
Toyota made Toyota Cellica specially for WRC, same Mitsubishi made Lancer Evolution, and Subaru for Impreza.
Ford since 1930s has German and British divisions, actual Ford Focus, 500/Fusion are European designed (difference is only in engines). And GM brand Saturn was a German Opel brand Opel Astra and Vectra
You should react to Group B rally racing from the 80s!
Yes 💯, but maybe Favour would need a tranquiliser or drink not to get a cardiaque arrest while seeing that footage 😂
well modern rallycars are faster than Group B. Ofc bit different tech
@@Finkele1not the thech but the crazzy fans on the road, see group B rally in Portugal
If you want to know how fast a car will go around a circuit get a F1 driver , if you want to know how fast a car will go, get a rally driver
When you ask where in the world it is, it says "Wrc Rally Finland 2022 Flat Out & Big Jumps" in the top left corner of your screen. So I'm guessing Finland, which it also looks like. 8:00
Rally is the king of motorsport in my world. Love it 🥰
It is Finnish rally as one of the boards says "Laukaa" which is a place near Jyväskylä where Finland Rally is happening.
rally finland is considered the grand prix of rallying because the roads make for insane speeds, and fins are insane supporters of rallying apparently being the national sport there lol.
Rally cars have extra measures to keep the drivers safe, like reinforced frame, sturdy harness and personal safety gear. Spectators know (usually) to stay away from the track and trees are often sturdier than guard rails. There's also sort of pit crews, formed by spectators, who help to flip over and pull any crashed car back to track. "Liina perseeseen" ("Rope to the arse") is pretty legendary call from an equally legendary spectator who has been doing it for years, and they work really fast. Accidents do happen, but considering that the track is gravel road, which is like driving on ball bearings and rain make it very challenging to drive. So considering just how rarely spectators get injured these guys are insanely skilled drivers. These roads are also used by locals for travelling, so it's not some closed track stashed away in the woods.
8:42 At the fastest rallies, such as Finland's WRC shown here, has the highest average speed of any rally, approx 135-140 km/h. The cars have a top speed of approx. 195 km/h.
The big jump are at the finish of the last stage on this rally, Jyväskylä secto rally WRC Finland.
haha 8:35 "He was going at least 60!".... that's cute ;) Listening to the revs and by experience from watching a LOT of WRC-rallying - he was going almost flat out - meaning 120 Mph/190 kph in that corner.
In the Finnish forests (where the video is from), they AVERAGE around 75-80 mph. Average.
Rally peaked during what is called the ”group b era”, those cars were insane and the stuff drivers did was nuttier!
This is in Finland!
Further south in Europe there are mostly black topp racing.
There are no guardrails because they are racing on a public road that are partially closed for the event.
Unless the spectators are from USA, they don’t have insurance becauce the rest of the industally developed World have universal helthcare, and it’s not in our faintest idea to sue someone for ouer ovn stupiditet!
Go back to the early 80s, Group B Rally. That's really scary. This is nice, but just cold coffee.😉
You need to see the Isle of Man rally and tt racing. Cars, bikes, sidecars all driving at insane speeds and with huge skill on the everyday roads of the island.
Rally is on everyday roads all over the world.
The TT is on normal roads on the Isle of Man at speeds of over 200mph on motorbikes..... insanely awesome!
What other videos should we do?! 😁
"Group B When Rallying got too fast. "
Colin mcrae ruclips.net/video/T_aVuaotTz8/видео.htmlsi=vILtGhirtucK6iIA
Hit Tubes of You hole of rabbits for.....CONDITIONS VERY IFFY BUT THEY'RE GOING ANYWAY....
Isle Of Man TT
Rally crashes, when they crash they really crash lol
As for the suspension: Most of the cars have a suspension damper travel of ~30 cm. Worlds apart from a trophy truck, but still capable of doing those jumps.
The Fords you saw are from Britain, it used to be a condition for rallying that a certain number road versions had to be produced for the public to buy, now they’re just based on the original car and heavily modified to meet WRC standards
Im sure that video was finland, it says so every time it was paused. And this is tame compared to the older races, lool at the 80's and 90's. Also check out colin mcrae rallycross against travis pastrana.
Learn about Michelle Mouton.
Please watch more particularly from the 70's-90's in Italy. The spectators are insane. This is quite a tame video comparatively . I'm so happy you are now switched on the Rally. It's totally nuts.
If you just discovered Rally now, you are in for a treat.
You are not the first person I see here discovering other motorsports than those common in the USA. It makes me wonder sometimes what ya'll been watching there if you never saw F1 or Rally. Here in Europe motorsportsfans usually know about Nascar, Indycar, Midgetcars, Dragrace, Monstertrucks, Stadiumtrucks, Tractorpulling and then some. Here in Europe we don't race on ovals. But the rest is fair game. With the Nurburgring Nordsleife wearing the crown as racetrack for topdogs. Check out the Porsche 919 doing 5.19 min. on the Nordsleife. What!!!!?
"I never thought Red Bull would be in sports"
That made me spit my hot cocoa.
Red Bull is so hard into sport they invented several new sports over the years.
for bigger crowds watch a special stage, usually run in cities at the start of the rally usually at night and you will see thousands of spectators turn up. why you don't see many on the track is a lot of the rally is deep into forested areas, so back in the 90s perth WA decide to run a stage on the foreshore of the swan river which is between the city and the river and was an instant hit as families could come in and see the WRC madness close up, but properly safe. WRC loved the concept and ran with it.
Toyota actually had a very competitive Formula 1 team in the 2000's, they also dominated Endurance Racing and had multiple 24 Hours of Le Mans wins. They are a very competitive motorsports manufacturer across multiple different racing series. The current CEO of Toyota, Koji Sato, is a former race car driver
spectate at your own peril, if you die in a crash no one will be held responsible!
Safety measures are, and need to be taken very seriously actually. And if a spectator dies or gets injured, the rally organizer is not going to get off the hook easily. It's the organizers responsibility to arrange spectator areas that are not too risky. And if there are people where they're not supposed to be, the stage can be paused or even canceled.
Current rally manufacturers are Toyota, ford,Renault, mitsubishi skoda Kia Hyundai vw citroen Peugeot Honda. And Chevrolet europe. Past competitors have included Audi Porsche Lancia alfa romeo saab volvo daihatsu. And nissan
If you go further back, Mini Cooper S (1960s Monte Carlo rally)
Subaru
If you're a Toyota fan, check WEC races. They race for up to 24h. In the highest level - Hypercars, you can see Toyota, Ferrari, Porsche, Cadillac, Peugeout and others.
These driver are doing 100mph plus and every car has a co driver in it
at least 60??? You can be sure, its more like 120 or even more
I think she means mph. The top speeds on staright road are about 120 mph. But in that corner, I'd say somewhere around 90 mph for sure. :)
driven mostly on narrow gravel roads with varying surfaces. but some rallies are more on tarmac than gravel, like in Monaco. top speed is 110-120 miles/h = 180-200 km/h average speed 60-65 miles/h = 100-110 km/h
WRC is Formula 1 in the forest…
Cars will regularly exceed 140 mph or more.
That 60 mph turn you mentioned, was probably more like 80 + 👍
Lets go! I've been waiting for this. Rally is definitely one of the more entertaining motorsports lol
We are in Finland, Irish flag is for Craig Breen, a rally pilot who died earlier this year in a crash.
Welcome to the realm of WRC, a motorsport that consists of a handful of the most talented and fearless drivers in the world.
Favour, hte driver will have not driven these courses prior to this, they have aco=driver who reads the 'pace notes' to them so the know which way to go as they drive along! They don't only drive these 'special dlosed road' stages they also dived on public road betwee the stages. They drive on tarmac, cobbles, gravel, mud aid in rain snow and ice, the speeds never slow! Rallying is popular all over the world and you or I can prticipate if we are brave/daft or skilled enough! Some rallies attract huge crowds ( no ticket required ) and there is litteraly no room either side of the road free of people, there are often fatalities! Take a look at the carear of Michele Mouton, the greatest female international rally driver of all time.
Rally suspension is built from alien space tech and mounted by arch angels... 😉
"the only thing that can make this worse, if it would be raining"
yea.. you better not check up the Swedish rally. If its raining, its a good day
Its a great feeling and a massive adrenaline rush driving like that on smal gravel roads.
Building a wrc rally car costs more then a new ferrari
The Toyota is their yaris model, however its built by their race division (Gonzo Racing). Good news if your a "toyota girl" & hot hatch fan, toyota and gonzo racing have built a road going rally yaris called the gr. It's powered by a 3 cylinder turbo, 1,600cc (97cu in) engine which produces 275bhp. In a 4 wheel drive hatchback that weighs 1,110-1,280 kg (2,447-2,822 lb). Have fun
Once i asked a rallydriver what ´s the most important things . He told me to stay on full throttle and the car on the road , pretty simple .
Ford cars are not only made in the USA
The cars have a safety feature called a role cage to protect the driver and navigator in a crash
The Speed through the woods are at 200 kmh (124mph) or even higher. These guys are the best drivers in the world in my opinion. The cars are custom made and cost round about 400k
man props to your talent in immediately identifying the car brand!
The Hyundai I 30 N is one of the loudest factory cars you can get for a budget of a normal person. 30000 € for 275 Hp and 109 db sound.
as mentioned WRC travels all over the world (except the states but i hear thats changing) so europe, africa, japan, new zealand, australia, germany, finland, sweden, monaco, greece spain and sardinia are just some of the countries that host WRC. there is an american rally competition but its not well publicized, in fact i only found out about it because ken block raced in it.
When in dout, go flat out. -Colin McRae, King of rally.
5:00 Toyota Yaris GR
845 60mph ??? More like 100mph. Top is close to 125 mph.
Rally on rain is more fun!!! And on snow too!!!
Growing up in Finland, rally racing was just another normal thing. I didn't really have much interest in it at all. Seeing you react to it makes me see it in a new light, too. What a weird and fascinating sport.
How are those spectators close? They're at least 2 meters from the track, covered by a huge tree and a boulder! That's totally save! (SCNR, hope you can see where I'm coming from when doing the Group B video...)
These are the guys you want driving the getaway car
It’s in Finland. Rally is like F 1 but on the streets of Europe ; Africa and Asia
Redbull is probably one of the biggest motorsport sponsors ever, u can’t say competition motorsport without redbull
Those little Toyota's are basically a GR Yaris that's been stripped down and built for rally.
Nice reaction 🇸🇪I suggest rally on snow (Swedish rally)
using the arrow keys for navigation is better on youtube , also the < > keys when paused to frame by frame it
I wouldn't call rallying a foreign sport. It's international motor sport, which history starts around when car was invented. There are plans to bring the WRC circus to the US, so If you want get up to speed, there's a good series about the history of rallying: "FLAT OUT (The History of Rally) - Episode 1 - The Origins". If you want to see foreign sport, one option is pesäpallo (Finnish baseball): "PESÄPALLO: FINLAND’S ANSWER TO BASEBALL | MLB EUROPE PLAY STORIES".
Hey You! great that you are watching rally a motorsport that is big in Europe, in every car their is a driver and a co driver, the co driver is telling the driver aboaut every twist and turns and jumps on the course, and the drive thru out a year in different countries both on ice and snow on tarmac and on gravel.if yo want more videos to watch let me now./ Emanuel
in rally, they drive on public roads, they do not do laps but "special stages". it can be only 2km or even 40km long... depends on the stages that they drive.
The piece of information you are missing is that Rally is about racing against each other's time on non circuit roads.
Everybody heard of Senna, Schumacher, Hamilton and Verstappen, but the real deal is Sebastien Loeb.... And Toivonen(RIP) , Alén, Röhrl, Mikkola and Vatanen:) Cheers Robin
this is the country of finland
mudflaps protect windscreens (of the car behind you) from gravel that often get stuck in the tyre profiles, only to be hurled away at higher speeds
(stones that kill the windscreen with ease)
since these are gravel roads....
Red Bull is literally in almost every sports you can tkink of 😊
Yeah the spectators are safe, they're no longer standing on the street in front of the drivers as they used to
Craig Breen died this year in practice run in my country. Rally Croatia. He hit a wooden fence sideways RIP
Check out rallying crashes aswell even with Roll cage inside they walk away most of the time. Then find rally service point stops when they can change so much on a car worth a look.
there are better rally videos out there, that was very tame but I like your enthusiasm for this great sport
Tame? Why?
The Cars of WRC are Ford Fiesta, Toyota Yaris, Hyundai i20 and Volkswagen Polo
The rally is in Finland
If you think is wild , you need to check group B rally from the 80s
Irish Flags are for Graig Breen Irish driver who sadly died in Rally accident earlier this year.
Video is "Finland, 2022", so Graig were still with us and driving one of those Ford Pumas we see on the video.
6:54 You want a small car, since they need to be nimble and agile to be fast around the corners
Hi, I just wanted to tell you that Ford you see in this video, is a German car! Harry from Sweden
now we need to get you to watch group b :D
Several F1 drivers have said WRC drivers are the best in the world.
I'd Like to see you reacting to carcross, I really love it🫶🏼 I love your content, keep going🔥
Oldest finnish saying is in rally "it hit timos ass", you can look it :)
this was in Laukaa, Finland
If someone is doing something crazy, Red Bull sponsors it lol.
8:06 This video was from Finland. And I think you might know what continent Finland is on. :)
most of the clips are form Finland, one of the banners even say Laukaa @8:10
"at least 60!" add at least 35mph to that, might be even faster at that corner :D
Thank's.👍
The weirdest sport I know is Janapese precision walking. Weird but fascinating.
ToyoDa, always kills me! 😀
I see everyone have the Idea of Group B without talking about Michèle Mouton, the girl Who slay this Competition against mens !
Rally wrecks are one of a kind icl
hyundai i20 toyota yaris and ford puma are the wrc rally cars they are buold on safety with roll cages in it and a special build but there is many more rally cars i drive rally myself to and i drive a skoda fabia R5 that has almost 300 horse power and it is so much fun to drive it
"Oh my god! I thought he's about to wreck!" -- No he isn't. That's how he drives everywhere, including getting the sunday rolls from the bakery! :P
small tip, ford is only in rally because of ford uk with cars like the escorts, sierra's and the ford rs200 cosworth, and ford couldn't really drop the sport since ford uk made ford well known
wrc cars have roll cages and something keeping their helmet in place
Rally is crazy but B group era was even more insane and maybe the TT trophy in isle of Man is the wildest of all road competitions. Pilots are totally reckless at 300 kph + on the main road of the island which is, by no means, designed for racing.
The big 3 are Ford Puma, Toyota Yaris and Hyundai I20.
pretty much all of these clips was from FINLAND. yes northern europe. rally finland is the fastest rally in planet. they do about 200kmh in the gravel roads in deep forest with jumps after jumps and curves same time... Walter Röhrl once said, he would be a plane pilot if he wanted to fly, thats why he never really drove in finland... one of the biggest masters from group B era in 80's
rallying is funny asf lmaooo
those "measured jumps" were started by a gentleman by the name of colin mcrea, sadly deceased. who style of driving was always flat out on one jump he used to get massive distances so the drivers sort of started an unofficial who can jump the furthest and now they have set jump points with the laid out measuring markers for the drivers to have a crack if they feel like it. the rules are each driver is competing against the clock over a number of stages usually over two or three days. fastest time at the end of the rally wins, both drivers compete, but also manufacturers compete as well. as you noted you saw toyota, ford and hyundai who have been the main companies at the top level. skoda are starting to make inroads with there cars being really populer at lower levels. WRC recently rejigged the levels so you have five tiers. lvl 1 is road cars with some safety gear bolted on, front wheel drive only costing no more than 40k with each level after that getting either more aero, better suspension, then switching to AWD at lvl 2 this was to stop a F1 situation where he with the most money to develop cars wins, it also gives drivers a way to develop their skills starting at the bottom and working up. or just staying at the bottom where costs are low.
It's funny when you are concerned if it's raining or muddy and the track gets slippery, when the fastest runs are done on snow and ice... You really should react to ALL the conditions these drivers are competing in.
What is a "four wheeler"?
Redbull is in almost any sport, even esports! Also sponsoring the best teams more often then not!
Its Toyota Yaris GR, and Ford is Puma. Jep, see Group B rally.
5:02 Its a toyota yaris and you should react to wrc sweden 2023 max attack
Edit : Finland is the fastest rally in the wrc calender they drive with over 100mph
Edit 2: Wrc stands for World Rally Championship if you didnt know that and they drive on public roads
