Really useful, thank you. Is it possible to add these Subscription Types to a form? I don't see it as an option in the HubSpot form builder. Thanks.

Good question. To do this, you'd need to use a workflow triggered by form submission. Workflows are only available in Pro and Enterprise, but if you had starter you could set up an active list based on form submission filter criteria and then simply make a task to go in every day and update any new submissions (yes a hassle, but without automation that's probably the easiest without trying to finagle third party tools too)!

Can you update the subscription status in bulk?

You could use a workflow to update subscription status! If you are just bulk selecting contacts, then that won't be an option available.

Have no idea what a "subscription" is or how it is used. Is it a list of clients that signed up for a newsletter. Is it a list of clients that need to be updated for a product recall. Is it a list of clients that you want to do a mass email to?

I have a question. Whe only use one button where they click on 'yes .. blah balh newsletter'. Where do they automatically enroll into? Or is it all of them, unless they give a preference?

You would be able to manage that through a workflow! You can set the contacts to subscribe to 1 type or all if you want. Just be sure that you are clear in the forms/buttons about what they are opting into.

HubSpot updates their website so often that even newish videos like this go out of date. Otherwise, this is a good video. But I can't find the sub types as that menu has changed. There's no longer a Tools menu.

Hi there - thanks for the note! what sub types are you looking for? if you go to the subscriptions area in HubSpot there are still types on a tab in the settings. Perhaps we're not understanding your question/comment. If so, please expand so we can help :)

@@HubSpotHacks Ok. Sorry about that. I found it by clicking on the gear icon (settings) and scrolling down on the left-hand side. It's quite hidden, but it's there.
