And after thousands in mods and 2 weeks of work the first day out with my super clean bike a bar end fell off so I rode to cycle gear and dropped the bike in the fucking parking lot. Dented the perfect tank. Fuckin ruined it. Snapped my new lever. Weeks of work and fuck it on the first ride. I’m currently sitting in my bed suicidal and not sure what I’m going to do. I want to quit everything because I fail at literally everything.

Just a suggestion, if you are going to keep the relay as a spare, go ahead and replace it with the new one and throw the old relay in the bottom of your saddlebag as the spare that you will likely never need.

I went further when I wasnt getting fuel, I ripped half the bike apart and almost ordered a new pump only to realize the vacuum hose on the pump had popped off because it didnt have a clamp. You're doing good at the brap star garage, love the channel
I'm always amazed at how nice your roads are. Here in Missouri you can tell a bike's age by how much the mirrors and instrument panels vibrate from all the spine crunching potholes.

Hey, we all mess up thats part of learning. Getting good takes time, practice, and experience. I picked up a 90 softail that didn't run. It's alive and well now. Just got it running yesterday. Fixed the turn signals also as they weren't working.
I like the little noco battery tender, I left it all winter and only took it off when I started the bike. Everything is still good on my bike, well as far as the battery goes anyway lol
I kept seeing cheap, sub 40k mile GL1200’s for sale in my area that I kept lusting after and Raspberry Buffet finally inspired me to embrace my inner papaw and just get one, so now I’ve got an ‘87 Aspencade in the driveway. Young guy’s on Papaw bikes unite!

Oh, good. He's going to try to take the saddlebag off. It's the trunk undertray, *obviously*. :-) Every time you need to remove a plastic panel on a 1500, there are another four that have to come of first, to get at that one hidden screw. After that, it's easy, until you want to put it all back.
@@shadetreesurgeon there is a "magic" trick where you can loosen four bolts, undo two, and swing the whole back end onto the seat, like the cab of an old fashioned 18-wheel tractor unit. All the plastic rear of the sidepanels stays intact.

i know about nothing about fixing bikes have only worked on my own and just changed the kickstand broke the stand kill switch while doing it but luaghed at how easy it was to bypass it cuz it was just two wires
Trial and error and yes it can be frustrating but I bet next time presented with a failed fuel pump you will know exactly what to do! Story of my life so can appreciate the learning opportunities :)

Power Probe is probly the single best tool I have in my tool box. Saves me so much time diagnosing electrical issues
