Kevin Becker, codename Wyatt Nite, has for several years after his puberty attempted to attract a female to mate with. As conventional methods have proven unsuccessful, his newly adapted method involves indirect begging through a feminist approach and "say what they want to hear"-attitude. If this fails, he has decided to deploy desperate measures and simply start begging drunken girls 3 AM on a saturday night. Possibly offering food to soften the deal.
On dark days he puts money into his piggy-bank, marked "there must be one filthy prostitute out there willing to take my cash for sex!".
If all else fails, his plan B is going gender fluid and marrying his teddybear Mr. Fudge.

My hypothesis has always been that worms just dislike heat, sunlight and dryness which are all typically present when it's not raining. However, wehen it is raining, they can come out and easily migrate to different locations without the risk of getting fried to death by the sun.

So out of the things mentioned in this video, it seems like the "trying not to drown" hypothesis has the most evidence. Sure, they can survive underwater for a few days (pretty cool!), but that doesn't mean they enjoy it. We humans can live underwater for something like 5 or 6 minutes, but how long do you actually like holding your breath underwater when you're not trying to show off? XD

I get it that some people may not care for one aspect of her delivery or another, but normal people just click away. These guys feel the need to slam her over and over and over, trying to think up something hurtful every time. I can't imagine why they like being mean every time, I mean, we get it that they don't like her already. The only reason to keep bashing her is that they enjoy being mean. I thought this channel would attract science minded people, instead, there's a bunch of bullies waiting for Olivia videos so they can be hurtful.

Its because the level on Fun outside greatly increases after snow, and humans especially socially awkward ones need it the most.

Maybe the worms surface as a open cue to eat. Many animals don't like to stay in the rain, and they probably know that, so they can safetly, most of the time, surface to get a quick snack, then book it back down before the rain ends.

I'd just like to point out to people who comment about how they guess it's Olivia by her down votes (in either the negative or positive way) there are videos were other hosts get 300+ thumbs downs . Saying all the votes are because of her is misleading. almost all their videos seem to get more than 50+ down regardless with the majority getting more than 100. Around 200-300 people out of the thousands to possibly millions who watch this channel's videos isn't awful. Making comments about the negative comments or votes is giving them attention. If you really want it to stop then don't mention those negative comments when you give your genuinely positive comment on Olivia.
Honestly wouldn't have noticed the negative comments if it weren't for the first comment I see saying something about all the negative comments Olivia gets.

I've learned the reason is because worms are able to surface when it rains so they do. They risk drying out when its sunny but if it's raining then they can safely surface because its wet.

When i was a kid , in India most kids and some grownups too, believed that they come out to get cut and split buy getting on the roads, so that they can split and you know become two ,or three like picolo from a single body. So kids used to intentionally cut and break live worms, i never did that but was somewhat disgusted by that.

Follow-up question: why don't birds eat the worms off the pavement? I've seen plenty of birds pulling worms out of the soil after a rainfall, but never once have a noticed one picking up the stranded worms on pavement. And this is Wales, so there's plenty of rainy days to observe.

Okay McDonald Trumpepe, I sure can take your response super seriously. If you really dislike that woman enough to feel personally victimized by my general comment @people that disliked, I don't know what to tell you. Did I ever address you personally? Did I call you, in specific, a child? Your personal jab at me speaks a little more than what I wrote. Also, seriously, I can't think of you as an adult with that icon and name, jesus you memelord.

in the northeast, there are worms that are usually dubbed "night crawlers" and they expose themselves at night, more so in the rain, however these worms rarely FULLY exit their tunnels, leaving themselves anchored to SLURP back in, fast as can be. which would indicate they are not avoiding moles, but doing something else.

Oh yeah, as a kid I used to go with my father to the local park at night with a flashlight and catch "nightcrawlers" (for bait when going fishing) that came out after a rain...never thought much about why, but assumed it had to do with the upper few layers being inundated with water from the rains...

Why do so many more people talk while making their hands dance now than they used too? When I talk to someone, I never move my head and shoulders all around like this. I think it is something to get people to focus on more. It's weird to me and I've been noticing more but I don't do that.

To people who complain about those criticising the host, that's why these rating and commenting systems exist. And it's not just a hate train. There is genuine dislike of certain traits that people hope will get changed. Some like it, some don't and these commenting and rating systems are to express that statistic.
Edit: also, here is an analogy to describe the negative feedback. If you have a movie with fantastic writing, amazing visuals, and moving music, but have a sub par actor or one with a vocal tick that doesn't match the nature of the film, people would be displeased and cite the actor as the issue with the film. This is what people are doing. I understand some may be okay with or used to it but it is clear that a lot aren't. They're legitimate discussions and vocalizations on the professionalism of the host. Now that being said, I think now she isn't too bad. Compared to when she first came on, she has been improving stellarly. She removed most of the weird inflections, dresses more professionally, and comes off more professional overall as a host.

I always just thought that since the soil is softer after it rains it's easier for them to surface and burrow at will...

  • @bxatch

I always thought it wasn't intentional. They just meandered around, and since it's moist underground, they didn't realize they were surfacing xD
