Knees on the bald cypress are for the trees to breathe when being submerged mostly during the spring/ when water levels surpass the bottoms of the trees😁
Really enjoyed your Salt Fork adventure. I'm biking down next Tuesday to preview the fall colors. I've subscribed. Been to Salt Fork many times, as well as Mohican. Love both
It’s literally so fun there! It’s such a cozy vibe

Wow, thank you!
I will be there this fall.
I’ve been here before and I loved it

I had my 13th birthday party at salt fork inside pool yesterday
Nice! Hope you had fun!
Love your reviews. Which is the best state park lodge you have stayed in? I've never been to any and debating on which one.
Great view! I stayed in a room on the other side last summer, but at least had deer to look at just outside. The boat looked like fun!
Thanks! We saw a deer on our side on our last night. The pontoon ride was so fun - just wished it didn’t pour rain for the last part!
$800 to rent a pontoon boat for the day. Hard pass and disappointing honestly. We are heading there to the lodge today.
@@johnnywrath6969 Whoa, $800 is crazy for one day!
You should try the cabins. Totally cool.
Do the cabins have full access to the indoor pool etc just like the rooms?
Looks like an awesome lodge to visit. Very beautiful though some parts are pretty dated and look like the 70s never died.
ive been there so many times for a family reunion thing that we do every year and go to different places :)
You're like Adam the Woo of the Midwest
Haha, wow! I watch Adam - thanks for the compliment!
@@KarynLocke but without the drama, of course.
