    Wow if you didn't tell me it was acrylic i would have believed it was carbon fiber. Look well achieved.

      Thank you! It definitely took some tinkering.

    Pls do test plate 50x50x3mm weigh acrylic vs real carbon vs aluminium 🙏

      I don’t have those other materials in order to do a weight comparison.

    I'm surprised you didn't laser engrave the pattern instead. I would imagine engraving gives you more control over depth and effect, while leaving a surface you can polish later if needed. That uvprinting could be interesting with a more complex pattern you can't get in carbon today, but with a carbon look. Japanese Wagara patterns over a mirrored sheet or translucent for lighted panels come to mind. Fun Stuff.

      Laser engraving it would have taken much longer. When engraving, the black acrylic will actually be kind of a white color and that wasn’t really what I was going for.

    Did you design the carbon fiber image yourself?

    • @MakerExperiment
      @MakerExperiment  10 месяцев назад

      No I didn’t. Someone provided a pattern to print.

      I haven’t really perfected it yet, but it is something I can do if you’re interested.
