I thoroughly enjoyed the live broadcast of this Curator's Introduction to China's Hidden Century and learned so much more about this period of history - much to my embarrassment! I've been to the exhibition three times already and am working my way through the accompanying exhibition catalogue. I thoroughly recommend a visit (at least one) to this stunning show. Thank you to the British Museum for a stunning piece of work!
I visited the exhibition earlier today and found it fascinating. Seeing the imperial robes and costume up close in detail was amazing. Exhibition also had the actual signed document from The Treaty of Nanjing. A must visit for anyone interested in Chinese history.
did the 1st Opium War actually favor all western nations or is this the common way of taking the big imperial powers of britain and france and take them to represent all over western european countries/empires/kingdoms?
why did these women steal Yilin Wang’s work without permission? four years of research by over 100 scholars from 14 countries and not a single one knows how to properly cite their sources.

I went to visit today but so many Communist spies accosting me. I told the security guards but they did nothing
