Lastly, Pena had a sweep at the halfway point, advanced position, had the guillotine attempt, etc. Nicky couldn't even pass Pena's guard. How many of those 14 matches do you think he won.
He didn’t win fbis match. He stalled the entire match.
Now you might be confused on the rules and think being on top is a dominant position like mma used to be. So maybe that’s why.
Pena made Nicky scramble constantly. You don’t win a scramble. You scramble as you were beat and in a dangerous position.
Nicky’s game is very basic. He just tries fo get a body lock pass.

The omoplata was never close as it was rolled out of very fast and those guillotines are just an annoyance to create an opening or panic more than anything.

Why are there so many small wet spots outside of where they've been fighting for a while? Shouldn't it all dry at the same time?

I wondered if anyone would mention it. I've been on the fence on this greasing thing, but at the end of the match you can definitely see oil on the mats. Black Belt Slayer plays a dirty game.

this is an opinion from a person who's jiu jitsu knowledge doesn't go past mma in other words very basic entry-level jiu jitsu knowledge with that disclaimer my thought on the match was that Nick was the clear winner bc it seemed at least to me that he was the one pushing the action and initiating the encounters the whole match and Felipe was just laying on the mat defending and complaining to the referee granted he got Nicks back and that front headlock for acouple of secs but to me it seemed like Nicks knee/ankle/foot locks were alot more deeper but then again as i stated the only reason i know a bit about jiu jitsu is bc of mma so my opinion could totally be wrong and Pena was dominating the whole match

Very good match but Rod got a very bad decision. How Pena got that is crazy. If you break down match Rod was winning and attacking more from start to end.

The event was pretty freaking cool, but you guys gotta get your seating situation figured out unless you were in the front two rows or up on the bleachers. You couldn’t see shit that’s why you had all those people crowding in isles. Maybe after the lawsuit you guys can get that figured out

Lie on your back and whine like a baby to the ref for the entire match - solid, match winning strategy for WNO apparently. These judges need to go back to calling Brazilian football games. Pena complained about a reset at ADCC too and got no sympathy from the ref, ended up so butthurt about it that he gave up. I guess the complain-to-win strategy is 50/50

Not even close. This was debatable at best.
It's hard to say how strong the footlocks were because Nicky is known to act a bit to sell sub attempts. Felipe threatened his own subs and better positional threats. It could've gone either way tbh.
