Arrangement for 4 trumpets of the song "Some Where Over The Rainbow",
composer:Harold Arlen
arranged by Valter Valerio and masterfully played by Paul Trettel.
Multitrack recording with real trumpets, Sibelius / Garage band.
clicked expecting musescore electronic trumpets
pleasantly surprised.. thank you.
Thinking the exact thing this was an unexpected treat to the ears
CosmicSubliminals I think calling it a treat to the east would be an understatement
this is beautiful
and the harmonies remind me when I accidentally played a higher note on the same piston during a song and it was a semibreve so the teacher just rolled with it and let me keep it.
nice comment! Thanks
if you created and played all of these consider me impressed. You are clearly a talented composer and musician.
The clean cut off at 2:00 oh my goodness it is my life perfect perfect perfect 😍
How can anyone not love this? I question the ability of some to appreciate not only melodically beautifully written music but also the harmony. It is beautiful from the first note to the surprisingly well done closing
note at the end. Kudos to the 5 of you.
pamrojo Thanks a lot!!
I feel like this song is a sentiment to life. We have our ups and downs, our disocence and melodies. But it all comes together to create something beautiful.
This is the best way that I have ever heard this song. Simply sounds amazing.
Outstanding. Makes me think of a sunny Sunday afternoon in July while resting on a tree overlooking a hilly valley.
I might have to try this one!
TRUMPETSIZZLE Hi, kurt contact me by email!
This is one of the most beautiful music i've ever heard i can't stop listening it
I love the juicy minadd9 harmonies you used, like in 2:41. The half steps actually work.
I love the little semitone dissonances throughout! And amazing playing.
A nice arrangement. Thanks. Your synth trumpet sound is much better than I am accustomed to hearing.
Is a real trumpet!
what a beautiful arrangement.Love the little pauses throughout the piece.
I love all of the octives and half steps
Wow. Just beautiful. Thanks!

As a trumpet player that last note was NICE

frikin awesome dude
beautiful!
SPLENDID!!!!
Thanks a lot! for me (arranger) and for P.Trettel (Player)
Two things I noticed:
1. You didn't notate the high D at the end. It was a nice surprise, but it would probably be good to put it in there. You could make it an optional note, or even write "opt. 8va" on top.
2. At measure 19 beat 2, the played rhythm seems to be a dotted eighth followed by a sixteenth. The same is true of the full brass version. I like it, but it would probably be good to notate it, or include an ossia.
3. That low F in measure 60 is interesting. I didn't know it was playable on Trumpet, but it is, just barely. You have to mess with the tuning slide. You'd probably want to change it during the rest in measure 58, and some fingerings get weird. You might want to specifically notate the fingerings and when the slide is changed.
Or, I guess, you could just mark the piece as requiring a 4 valve trumpet for the Trumpet 4 part. But that's less fun.
your channel is so underrated
You should compose a trumpet, horn, and trombone version. My friends want to do a trio for a concert
can i use this composition please? will credit :)
yoooooo
Bravooooo !!
Qué belleza, loco!!!! Permiso, me lo llevo!
Not sure if you do any religious/Christian song/arrangements but I would love it if you did the old Hymn Oh Victory in Jesus. 2 men just played it at our church this morning and that gave me the idea. Love the arrangements you do. Just a thought for the next arrangement
Thanks for the idea 💡

Muito lindo
Check out Alan Baylock's version. Amazing.
Gostei. Fica para finalizar o trompete, creio que daqui uns 6,7 anos
Phewww
Is there a way to download just the audio. My dad passed away yesterday and I want to use this in a tribute video. This arrangement is what my dad used to play 15 years ago.
hi, you can use www.ytop1 .com , my condolences
Come with the Reedys -- Please accept my deepest condolences, as late as they are.

So, do you consider false tones or are they ruled out due to the tone?
i cant solo with 4 trumpets but i like it so power full song
Is it also possible to get this score? Would be nice!
Can I find this sheet music somewhere?
How can I buy your note

May I use this?
Is there a way that I can obtain this anywhere?
ramaza9129 Yep, look in the description.
3:40 I'm confused. How does a B flat trumpet play that low?
Either he didn't play that low or he just played a really flat f#... a really good trumpet player can make that sound right
Blazinlnfernape, it's a F with the open slides
How can I get the score?
Is there a place to get the pdf for this arrangement?
Joey Crowned contact me at my email in the video description
what mic do you use?
James Banks ST1 lanen condenser studio microphone with focusrite card
I emailed you. I WANT IT !!!!!
Me lo podrías pasar para grabarlo ?
:)
Please, consider actually hitting the note after large intervals. That searching and smearing thing is really getting old. Othewise, great.
Mush Mouse sorry, i don’t have such a good ear with brass, is it not just musical additives? i thought it was all intentional and i think it adds to the mimicking of the lyrical voice.
I gotta say, im not digging that extra note. Other than that its beautiful.
Sounds great but... those whole note rests just sound bad. I am expecting some flow then the music just stops out of the blue.
Basic
Amazing!
