Cool demo tape. Dang who knew her demo tapes are more fun to listen to than the official releases. It seems to me that for some artists they are better producing the Demo than the official releases. I remember New Radicals was notable for this Gregg Alexander is better at doing demo songs than even the official releases. Gregg Alexander's official releases went to other people including Michelle Branch.
I believe this was from the AOL Live Sessions. The videos were on the Enhanced CD for Hotel Paper, and this audio was included on the single of "Are You Happy Now?"
I get it the lyrics for the spirit room was meant for the Teenage version of herself not about a person approaching mid life. But I cannot wait to see the time she releases a new album and its about her life in this decade the 2020's.
this is not demo tape everyone, this is her live version on AOL sessions
I was about to say her demo was amazing 😅.. my favorite off hotel paper.. got this on repeat

She sounds a lot better here than for her 20th anniversary of the Spirit Room album she just released. That was a let down.

@@harpsgalore6584 I don’t have a problem with that album or the lyrics. I love it, I just don’t think the remastered version sounds very good.
@@ClaireJones8942 true and sounds worn out though.
I thought she sounded good, especially for being that far along.. and I have never thought of her as being an amazing live performer
@@ClaireJones8942 20 years since it released, no singers can maintain vocal through the years. It’s sad but no choice
HOPELESS ROMANTIC. 🌙
