My son weighed 7 lbs 9oz and the placentia was weighed on the scale at 7 lbs 5 oz. It was insane. I always thought the placenta was supposed to be about 2 lbs, but my nurse had my placenta in a bag she was lifting with two hands when she put it on the scale. I remember she said “7 lbs 5 oz. Wow, you did really good mamma. Good job on a very healthy placenta.” Eating 3 salads a day and 3 meals a day felt worth it in that moment. During my pregnancy I would get one of every vegetable I could find and at the grocery store, wash them all, give them a rough chop into bite size pieces, and fill a giant punch bowl with that “everything salad”. I’d eat a huge bowl of it in between each meal and after dinner, no dressing. I love vegetables so it wasn’t unbearable but making shaved beets like shaved carrots is a pain in the butt. The taste was not my favorite but I got through it. That praise from the nurse felt worth it.
With my first pregnancy (boy) i started at 125lb and ended at 145 (baby was 7.5lb at birth). with my second(girl) I started at 130 and (33w now) currently at 145. The numbers add up, but I blame my metabolism and being iron deficiency 😂😅 I also agree with the first comment! Those scrubs are a beautiful and fitting color 😌
Realistically a good 20-30 lbs is normal weight gain in pregnancy. I was already very overweight when I got pregnant (188 lbs) and my weight gain was just due to me overeating. I gained a lot more than 30 lbs lol but I do recommend to keep track of that weight gain. After giving birth with my baby being 7 lbs and 13 oz I still have a lot of extra weight I put on myself. Just take care of urself the best u can!
Incredibly thankful I only gained about 23 pounds during my first pregnancy. I was projected to have a 7-8 lb baby. He made his appearance at almost 36 weeks and 6.7 lb 🙌🥰
With my 1st pregnancy i gained 10kg and baby was 2.4kg. it was a boy. With second pregnancy with a girl i only gained 4.5kg and baby was 1.9kg . Apparently everything was perfectly fine and i just grow very small babies 🤷🏼♀️ after many tests done during pregnancy and after when placenta was checked. 1st baby was under 2nd centile and 2nd baby on 0.4 centile!
I gained a lot during my first pregnancy and technically nothing so far during this pregnancy at 27 weeks. I did go up briefly once in the first trimester by 3 kg then lost it in 2 weeks and again a few weeks ago I gained 4 kg and lost it all again. No idea what the reason is.
3rd trimester all summer… gained an extra 15 in water weight I was so swollen. Normal tests, no diabetes or eclampsia…. Just retained so much water.

7 months pregnant and 37lbs gained so far.
I lovvvve those color scrubs! ❤
Both of mine were about 50lbs. Daughter was 8.5lbs and son 9lb 14oz. But, most of it came off very soon after birth.
30 lbs?! 😮💨😅 It makes sense, that just seems like a lot. Mind blowing!
That is not a lot. It’s making a baby. Smh
You lose like 15 lbs immediately after birth too
Mine is closer to 40 lb lolz. But i started underweight

So you’re telling me I gained 30 extra pounds I didn’t need 😂 lol makes sense cause I gained 55 pounds in total and had a 5lb baby 😬
Congratulations! On being a doctor! 🍑🧡
What’s the best way to bounce back?

For both my pregnancies, I gained a little under 30 lbs each time ❤
Depends on age too...I only gained 20lbs with my first at 15, lost it all in delivery, he was just over 7lbs.
No it doesn’t. Age has nothing to do with it
I only gained 10 lbs with My pregnancy and then lost 30 lbs only 2 weeks after delivery.
29 lbs. 😮
What is that in kg?
Multiply by 2.2 to all lb weights to get kg weights!
I gained 10lbs. That’s it. Fr fr
First baby lost 40 pounds second baby 60 pounds
But…. My daughter was 11 lbs when I had her 😅
