He won the Bubble title, but everyone knows that AD was the reason for the title in the gym after a 4 month layoff. Why even discuss him winning another after 21 yrs in the league? He hasn’t played over 60 games 4 out of 6 seasons with the Lakers, but he still talked about being great? The Lakers’ records that put them in the Play-In for half of his time there was largely due to him being in street clothes or not being effective on the court impacting the game like he did in the past. Lebron getting a ring doesn’t matter anymore. The GOAT question died in 2011.
@@Juicegetmoney - They can "discuss" it all they want, but there sure as hell is no debate. The fact that they keep talking about what he needs and coming up with legacy questions about a 4th NBA Championship (to go along with the Bubble title and In-Season tournament) tells you the story. They are trying to speak his legacy into GOAT status by constantly comparing him to MJ without any context to his own career while they try to marginalize MJ's career by overhyping Pippen and Phil Jackson. When Lebron retires, it will be his longevity and the Free Agency PED that hurts him the most. Costing that Heat team a title in 2011 ended all of this.
@@parawill7074 Again Lbj will always be in the goat discussion. Millions of ppl think he’s the goat and y’all talk about it for the next 50 years. It’s all opinionated anyway
@@Juicegetmoney - Yes and no. I'm not concerned about the casuals who think Lebron is the GOAT because a good portion of his fans don't really factor in the conversation. I mean, they blindly think Lebron is playing great with the Lakers and completely ignore the fact that the man has played less than 60 games in 4 out of the 6 seasons with the team where 3 seasons they ended up in the Play-In, 2 seasons they missed the Play-In or Playoffs, and two 1st Rd exits. The Bubble title is the only thing they accomplished since he went there. Yet, each and every year the media and his fans hype him up just because he is 39 y/o and able to still dunk and get streaky from three. The past accomplishments with the Heat and Cavs were good, but not great since he used free agency to create "super teams" to dominate the eastern conference for 8 straight years. So, there is no real discussion/debate with respect to the GOAT. When he retires his legacy will be looked at very differently given how long he has played and all the help he got just to get a losing record in the finals.

I said LeBron James wasn't winning anymore championships after the bubble title. When a 5th seed Miami team took the Lakers to 6 games I knew LeBron wasn't winning anymore. His patterns is to trade players every year and playing with 2 sets of teammates every year = no chemistry. Year 23 LeBron James will retire just like his jersey because he is calculated in that way. LeBron will retire with a FINALS LOSING RECORD and its nothing he or the NBA can do about it. The only player in his own era with a losing record disqualified LeBron James in the goat debate. Lebron was in the Play-in as the NUMBER 8 seed. So... incredibly dumb comment by Brou. No. The play-in hasnt been good for Lebron. All he had to do was play EXTRA games and face the Nuggets. Silly old men.
I love Broussard, but he is wrong on the nepotism issue. Nepotism on the field does cross a line because putting an undeserved relative on the field makes a mockery out of the game. If a relative gets a desk job he or she doesn't deserve, then the company can cover for that person without the company being embarrassed or seriously hurt. But putting a player out there who can't play crosses a line into the area of embarrassment. A missed pass, a turnover, a missed shot, etc. Berry Gordy hired several of his family members to be executives and take other positions at Motown. But if he had trotted out one of his non-singing, non-dancing sons and made him the lead singer of the Temptations, he would have been a laughing stock.
Lakers were a talent farm for the league.. Jordan Clarkson, Julius Randall, Brandon Ingram, Kyle Kuza, Alex Caruso, Josh Hart, Lonzo Ball, KCP, THT, they also gave away 1st and 2nd round picks etc... Lakers are gonna be like how the Knicks were for about 10 years

As a kings fan, i love Lebron in LA.. We ended an almost 20 year postseason drought and have more wins against the Lakers in a 5 year period than we ever had with a star on their team.. Kobe would NEVER
These outlets don’t wanna talk about the league. They wanna talk about Lebron
@@user01.x0Swear that's their #1 topic outside of football season. These marks continue to bring up anything LeBron related because they need ratings and views. Another funny thing, the NBA playoff ratings. They went down after the Lakers went out in the first round which means the NBA is still reliant on LeBron. They have all these new stars and no one cares for them outside of the city they play for. So the League and clowns at FS1 who hate on him better find a way to build up new stars because LeBron won't be around forever. Then they'll blame him for the ratings decline. 🤷🏿♂️
@AaronLesterMedia the NBA would be fine just after 1999 when Jordan retired players like Vince Carter box office, Allen Iverson box office, Kobe Bryant R.I.P box office, Kevin Garnett passionate, Tracy McGrady athleticism , Ray Allen shooting ,Tim Duncan fundamental. Nope. And AD has to accept that rolling with a selfish leader. Lbj is a squatter...overstaying his welcome waiting to be forcefully moved out by the courts/police.
Actually, the callers on this episode were good
Most shows have irrational callers. Must be adults.
Chris Broussard is getting closer and closer to what happened to Rob Parker and Max Kellerman. Rob Parker is actually a really good analyst (because of his knowledge the history of sports) and so is Max Kellerman. But their awful takes on Tom Brady's career was what led to their downfall. No one is taking them seriously anymore as analysts. Now Rob Parker doesn't get invited to other shows and Max Kellerman is losing his job. Chris Broussard is so compromise that he takes have become ridiculous at time that although some people still listen to his show but they are tuning out. They are starting to laugh at him not with him. And they just no longer take his opinion seriously anymore. He is not quite there yet, but he will soon be there if he keeps this up.
He's already there.

Once again, Chris and others keep giving Lebron credit as THE GUY during his 3 NBA Championships where joined established all-stars through free agency.
Lbj will forever be in the goat discussion 💯
@@parawill7074 Casual or not he still has supporters who thinks he’s the goat. There’s casuals out there that think Jordan , Kobe, kd etc.. is the goat. Again it’s all opinionated but like it or not Lbj is in the convo. No matter how much whining you do Lbj brought a title to the lakers organization. No other team has won more than one since he went to LA so if the lakers weren’t a success then neither was the rest of the league if we being fair. And traditionally they didn’t need the play in to make the playoffs. They were a 7th seed all three times and playing that extra game could have cost them the playoffs. Which is why I say the play in is stupid why give a 9th & 10th seed a chance to make the playoffs.
