Looks great. I totally get where you're coming from with the engineering problems. Had similar issues putting the Prime1 Poison Ivy: Hush together. Valid complaint.

Hey bud, I watched Half Fast Reviews and another guy struggle with the tentacles. I knew that the issue with trying to put the claws on while pulling the tentacles out of the back would be the challenge. I simply put a small amount of Vaseline on the back keys of the tentacles. This allowed me to easily pull the tentacles out while inserting the end claws. After doing that It wasn't a problem for me at all.
Great review as always. congrats on this piece. You had the same issue and comments as other ppl. This makes me very concerned that i will have the same issue when I receive mine. Thanks for explaining the issues.
Some people have told me that dish soap or some other lubricant can help with getting the arms into the keys...so, maybe try that if you're having trouble.
Great video! I received my Doc Oc statue a couple of weeks ago. Like you, and others, I found the placement of the tentacles to be a challenge (I made up a few new curse-words in the process), but overall, once he’s fully assembled, he is amazing. That it took three+ years for XM to bring this statue to life was a painful waiting period. I do like the paint job, the way his coat hangs, the silver sheen on the tentacles, and I like his pose. The first portrait (which looks like Elton John on bad drugs) isn’t too terrible. Overall, another great additions to my Spider-Man 1/4 scale statue line. I can’t imagine that anyone would ever be able to out-do this version of Doctor Octopus. (Now, if XM Studios can FINALLY bring the Professor X statues to completion, that would make me very happy! )
Great job, placing those tentacles as close as they supposed to be. All other reviewers just placed them willy-nilly. Its always nice to find someone, who cares :-)
Another good piece with problems. XM get a lot of recognition for Batman Shogun and Thanos but a number of their statues, particularly from the X Men line, have problems. Iceman, Gambit, Mystique, Storm, Cyclops and now Doc Oc! Hopefully we get better luck with their new announcements.

I’ve heard that helps...may not solve all of my problems...but, if I ever have to take this apart and reassemble, I’ll give it a shot.
