IDOL is actually a song created by the member to counter back comments by people who said BTS had forgotten their roots as Koreans once they hit international fame. Basically they emphasize the love of oneself, means the root and all, so no matter where they are, they will always stick to their origin, and that's how people need to always have within themselves as well; the local wisdom as part of loving yourself.
And just to point out, BTS only appeared in Running Man once, in ep 300 if I'm not mistaken, but only for one slot of mission because they are busy people hmm.
As usual, thank you for the reaction, I'm always thankful for the way you appreciate their performances. Once again, I hope that you'll consider putting "who is bts : the seven members of bts" in one of your video reaction lists.

The theme is Korean traditional is because a lot of antis called them too “westernised” because attend awards luar negara, then making music that feels like western pop music , so lagu idol and the whole theme for mv and performance concept semua they make it korean traditional , ibarat bangtan ni cakap yang diorang bukan kacang lupakan kulit and still anak2 Korea , yeah this is just a slap back towards the antis
What u have seen is,, how BTS change the award show into their own concert😂😂😂 ARMY and BTS can do that... 😂😂

So through this song, bts sampaikan mesej melalui lirik seperti:

Oh and I love how Hakeem pointed out that every member has their uniqueness. That’s exactly what I feel abt them. Like every member has different vocal colour but they’re still in harmony. And I cherish their brotherhood so much :)
As a korean I'd like to say thank you so much for actually naming the clothing as "modern hanbok". Many foreigners tend to call them kimonos or some other sort. Recently, there's been issues with China as they're trying claim that our traditional clothing "hanbok" belongs to them which is not true and they are stealing from our culture. Once again, thank you so much for acknowledging the clothing! Lots of love :))

aha as for idol, i recommend you to watch the mv; the mv is basically dissing (?) the criticism they receive, kpop in general for having to much "colours", too bright and idols use too many filters on them; this song basically telling the whole western music industry that bts' root is korean, and the title "idol" basically implement their work as idols themselves, they hightlight the line "you cant stop me loving myself" in conjuction with their album love yourself:answer

Hakim you pass the vibe check hhhh this stage is highlighting the mix of traditional korean culture in pop which is VERY WELL MADE and the intro dances + gugak(traditional korean sounds and instruments) has made ARMY internationally to invest time on learning the culture. The beauty of bts live stages is the difference in sound mixing from the mv and its always a refreshing treat for us 💜
They only attend twice on Running Man: episode 300 as OT7 and other one only RM attend(I don't remember what episode)
