The Bee Gees wrote, ""Tragedy", "Too Much Heaven", and the #1 Hit for their brother Andy. "Shadow Dancing" , all in the SAME DAY! His wife said that they would be doing something and Barry would grab his guitar in the middle of it and say, "I just got an idea" and he would just pluck a song out of midair, and that to her, it was magical. I tend to agree with Linda.
foots2066 - Same with Robin. His wife said she would hear him in the middle of the night playing the piano and coming up with a new song. The only reason I get up in the middle of the night is to go to the bathroom.
They can do all decades. Theyre amazing. I love this album. Blue island and for whom the bell tolls are some of my favorites.

The Bee Gees thought this video was a crazy idea but the record company wanted it so they did it. They infact thought it was ridiculous. But that does not change that it is a good song.

I think "Size isn't everything" is one of the best albums of the BG and their big entrance to the 90's after High Civilization, which is another great one.
Barry said he really doesn’t like videos. He wants his audience to interpret the songs individually. They are crafted to evoke emotions and he thinks the videos take away from that. Also, the record company was the ones that wanted to do this, the brothers thought it was ridiculous. They have always tried to record their performances, that was what the British used to do and they continued with that tradition ( and I am so glad they did).
Barry also doesn’t like CD’s -rather listen on vinyl--the music isn’t so compressed and sounds richer. ( I concur).
I agree with Barry. I do not like the sexual nature of the video- it distracts from the song!

Patty-I recently read a comment stating that Robin was their secret weapon. Barry stated in a documentary that he and Mo agreed that there were songs that were definitely Robin's songs. Also, I recently viewed a video where they performed a song that Barry normally sang but Mo sang it instead. Barry was asked why that happened. His response was, " I wanted people to realize that Mo can do falsetto too." I hope this helps.
