Glad to see this beautiful aircraft modernized and in service. We in Eastern Europe didn't let them modernized and so we wasted their potential.
These Migs are tailored to fly in the Himalayas. Alot of upgradations been done

The avionic bay must have proper air circulation and fire extinguisher so during battle damage .. the smoke will not fill the cockpit .

Zhuk- M and rd-33 series 3m engines.
also, there are rumours that some of these are equipped with a zhuk aesa like the Ga-N FGA-35, but not confirmed.

@@recon17 Na AESA Radar is a rumor. They got Zhuk M and integrated EW suite called D-29 which consists of Digital RWR and AESA based Jammer.

Russian military hardware is equal or one step ahead of US hardware. But when it comes to software USA is far far ahead. That's why we see lots and lots of migs being shutdown by US aircrafts. Even before the mig pilots could see the enemy US planes the story is over

We have upgraded it, its a aesa radar as far as i was told .
We are smart...we acquire the airframe and engine ....but customise the avionics and suite as per our requirement....but it has pitfall sometimes it creates a drag on engine performance
The India choice was the rafale, mig 29 was discard for the naval aviation
