I can't stop listening to this! The singing, the little details (such as the begging in the background, the walking noises, the comforting pats, etc.), the emotion in your voice, the story..... gahhhhh the whole audio is brilliant! David is written well and I'm in love with them! What I also think is neat is that David doesn't have a mask while each of the other slashers in this series had a mask on (mask or no mask I still love all of them haha). Glad to see his gorgeous face, even if it's covered in blood lol! I'll definitely eat the rich with him ❤
When talking with the artist about David's design we decided that he shouldn't have a mask, as it better reflected how he was the most 'human' of all the slashers. He isn't killing for pleasure or attention, he's killing out of some twisted sense of justice ^-^
Ahhhh I love stories with characters like this in it, a wonderful dive into morals and means and ends, a very clear reason to root for someone at base but still that gut wrenching feeling of “what you could even do in this situation if you find their methods… not ones you’d favor” Using ends to justify means, one of my favorite morality - pondering tropes in writing!

Soft Yan audios are so rare these days, so David has been dragging me back here over and over the past three days. I hope to see more of him as his attachment grows. The way he described watching the Listener before he busted into the house to do his “job” really sucked me into the immersion. I can really imagine myself as the Listener, meeting what I think is a cute nice guy, pulling out all the stops within their budget to make a good impression on his family only to be blindsided by the HUGE class gap. Sitting at the table with the cutlery, having no idea what bejewelled utensil does what while this damn rich family titters and makes barbed compliments and praising their son for “taking pity on the poor struggling server” and hyping themself up for “being so generous as to let us have a taste”. And Listener’s just sitting there, hands clenched in their lap and having to plaster your customer service smile, not touching the food at all because *you have no idea how to eat a whole lobster*. Of course, David could be an unreliable narrator and he’s projecting his own bias onto us. But I don’t think so… Why else would the Listener eventually find the courage to creep out themselves. The way you slowly shifted the tone of your voice from enticing yet dangerous to soft and open as he slowly connected the dots. Just chef’s kiss.
As much as I understand his feelings on this matter, I don't think I could eat in a house knowing there are corpses in the other room - and the whole time I'd be worried he'd change his mind and kill me to avoid witnesses or baggage.
