Just bought this! I wish it was still $10, but it's still an amazing plug-in! Really well made, actually! Thank you for this, and I hope you have a great day!
Also I think a quick way to find the right spot is you do the same distance of the 12th fret from the nut from the 12th fret, that at least worked for me
Thank you for this video. I have a electric Nagoya Harp and lucky to have a modern one with perfect intonation. The sample that you made is just amazing. I would buy it even thou i don't know how to use it! Just cant justify the 300$ Kontakt price even thou it looks awesome. I will keep it in mind if I ever figure out how to use the computer to make music.
great channel, great commitment. I like this passion for music. in my next short video about Kugo, Tonkori and Taishogoto I will give a little hint about your Taishogoto software, great work +1sub
holy smokes! that's the same one i inherited from my grandpa! i've been trying to find stuff about it but the box he had it in just said "japanese lap harp 1969"
Thanks for the super tutorials! Do you have to pay a license fee to NI to sell 3rd party libraries? Or is that only if you want them to benefit from their browser system?
Hey David! I was wondering how to programmed a button to turn off what I'm guessing are individual groups? I've been searching everywhere to find an answer but can't.
@@DavidHilowitzMusic I have a similar one with the same tunning problem I adjusted the keys very carefully (all of them in G) and replaced the strings too (they were a bit old) hope it helps, anyway good luck 👍👍
Just purchased. Thanks for putting so much work into it!
How about if the strings snap? Would you happen to know where I can find replacement?
@@Sykkulogy just use guitar string
@@Karlampongan woah this was 2 years ago lol i don’t use this instrument anymore 😭 i really should try again haha
Great work David - love these kind of quirky instruments. Really good for adding texture and interest to all kinds of tracks.

Hey, uhhhh, problem? I got a message saying that full kontakt is required when I only have Kontakt player...
This is really superb work.
Wow, the best sampling I've ever seen. Lovely natural sound. Great job!
You can fix the intonation of the instrument by pushing the bridge back and forth until you find the right spot.

You do a really good job with these videos.
Awesome! I'm gonna support your work for sure, and it really motivates to try making my own Kontakt libraries!
Just found this. What a GORGEOUS sound. I’m going to get it …right now! ⭐️ (done)
you have produced something really beautiful
Love your channel! Just found it!
the tittle translated into Indonesia and the meaning is "tasting the japanese zither taishogoto"
Hey, cool
video. I could learn a lot from you about product presentation. Nice one.
I'll definitely be keeping this in mind, im going to buy this someday and hopefully is it still up and running 😅
THat is SO BEAUTFUL!
THATS AWESOME! Really cool videos. Subbing for sure

I have one
Incredible effort !
Easy Purchase !
Taishogoto exported to India and now it's called "banjo" there.
I love your channel so much
that sounds great! good work! how did i not know that people could make their own contact instruments!???

Beautiful!
every note from this instrument complements the higurashi crying because of the curse
Lovely.

same artwork and everything, god this is blowing mind. i've had this baby for almost a decade now
man are you kidding me! this is amazing! lol sorry for the spazzing. i'm excited to try this out.
ah, that’s cool!
Is there one for IOS Iphone!? So cool!!! U were able to sample it wow!
In 1930 it was brought to India ...yes it is bulbul tarang ....
If you tune the strings to the correct tension you will have no intonation problems.
Oh my God! this is almost exactly like a Russian instrument called the "keyboard Gusli". Its like its little brother.
THX BRO . I LOVE U AND IT ! XD
Awesome
It sounds good but does not sound like a real Taishogoto. Due how it works it's not possible to play multiple notes at one on real Taishogoto.

Can you make an Ableton Sampler preset?
Great sampling! My only complaint is that the taishogoto is monophonic, while the kontakt version is polyphonic. That can be changed easily though.
Hey David, what you mean Philly? In Philippines?
Wow, how long did this project take?
You won’t get as good of samples if you isolate the strings. Gotta do them all at once for natural sound
not 10 bucks anymore :(
So you didn't learn how to play the Taishogoto at all, just labeled it an "unusable instrument"? wow.
rosierjay what? the taishogoto in general is a great instrument. this particular specimen is pretty impossible to play, though.

This is not a harp. Do not misrepresent it as such. It is in the lyre family.
I'm afraid you have your work cut out for you en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Taish%C5%8Dgoto
unfortunately, he doesnt hold the copyright to this brand so he can completely change the name
