I can’t wait till I get my first elk when I first got my mule deer it was the best feeling and the most bless because the deer was going to feed my family and it was a nice 4 x 4 for my first Deer 🦌 and that opened a new world for me. I would love to go hunting with you guys. Hush, help me get my first bull elk ❤😅😊

I love to watch you out in the woods with your kids or helping others, but it is AWESOME when it is your turn. Questioning your abilities from time to time is an indication that you have strong moral ethics, imo, and have a desire above all else to have a successful hunt without injuring the animal, breaching land you don't have permission or rights to be on, etc. You are one heck of an outdoorsman, hunter, hubby, dad, business owner and just a good ole human. Took my 14 year old daughter on her first hunt this year with the whole family and she downed a nice 6x5 as he was chasing a smaller bull down the mountain. Best part is my son got it on video so we can relive that moment. I want that video played at my wake, kids thirst for life is awesome

By mistake my group found out that hot hands body warmers 18 hour with the adhesive strip will help battery . Worked grate on our phones, should help your cameras to.

And way to go Martin for the haul out, I wish you boys would ware back braces though, please save your backs now while your young, you and Eric scare me, what you do now will have an impact later, sorry for the nag, I'm an RN, lol.

Congratulations on your nice bull elk. It’s a common misconception that it does not get cold and snowy in New Mexico. I’ve been on mid to late November cow hunts and deer hunts in central and southwest New Mexico in weather like this, or colder.

It's high desert country. We trained in that for our OIF deployment. You're right. It gets CAF in the winter. Few weeks earlier, we were sweatin our balls off and had guys falling out from heat exhaustion, then we're dressing in layers, and trying to keep our toes from falling off from frostbite. SUCKS!
I wish onX would allow you to add your buddies and see live locations. Would help alot with knowing where everyone in the woods is. Awesome bull also!.

Congrats! I didn’t realize the last bull you shot was that Roosevelt Elk at 2 yards. From short range to a good poke not to bad buddy! Hell of a bull.
We use a small frame out of 2x4s to act as a spacer to keep the dog box from sliding. It lays flat in the bed and virtually takes no room.

Question, as I've never hunted elk, but that pelt looks amazing. Can you use an elk's pelt for a blanket? I would imagine it would be amazingly warm.
