Long time fan and much appreciate this video! I think I'll actually get this. As much as knobs and screens have been trendy lately, this keyboard seems to do it right when combining them together. I hope others see these benefits! I agree with some of the downsides is that you can't really open this up without major concerns breaking it but as a standalone with hot swap as the minimum, I can honestly live with that. I love that you call out that the screen on the knob has actual useful practicality (connection information, battery life, etc). Not many keyboards with screens have the same level of practicality which IMO should be the baseline if they're keeping the 3 connectivity methods. Gotta love it when the 99 USD products step up their game!
The screen thing is so relevant in today's keyboard market. Was saving up to get the qk65v2, but when it came out and showed that it had a screen. I know they want to differentiate it from the neo65, but I just want something with great internals and a clean layout. Might just cry and get the neo65 instead. Great video as always!
I felt the exact same way. Was hyped for qk65 r2 cuz I regretted skipping out the first time, but now I’m just gonna cry and wait for something else to come out instead…
thanks for the review Scott! I must admit I’m pretty much knobbed and screened out, but I’m also always down for variety and making features accessible at a lower price point. More than anything, I’m surprised at how much that thing flexed with all those case dampeners in a top mount config!
Honestly that PET film really boosts certain frequencies. If you tape mod and use PET... you can make boards SUPER foamy. Oddly enough, PET seems to work against PE foam. My trick with opening boards held together by clips has been guitar picks... you can even get cheap nylon ones as well as hard plastics but shimming until you can gently pop the clips works really well.
Hey Scott, another great video! I was wondering if you could try some of the crazy aluminum budget keyboards, like the Sugar65 or Hi75, which can be as low as 40 bucks on taobao.
I have the ROG Strix Scope II 96 Wireless and cannot find anything through a google search for north facing switches as all I get are videos on interference. Can I just turn around the top of any switch that comes with south facing to north facing for RGB? If not, how do I search for silent linear switches for this keyboard? Love your channel !!
Meletrix kinda made it trendy and I wish every new keyboards weren't trying to look like the Zoom75 (features wise that is). Even their new Zoom98 has a screen lol. As much as it looks cool, it feels like knobs, it'll be the trend for a good year or two. As always though, great video and review Scott!
fun topic i saw that tofu60 is out how about a topre tofu 60 build i saw that there are 60%topre pcb selling, and it will be a good idea to build a custom topre🤣 topre is usually prebuild, and it will be a fun topic to play with
This would be an amazing keyboard if it were not for the inability to change the date. I have scoured through forums and even reached out to the company with no response. How did you get the date to update to the correct date?
Hmmm there are quite a bit lol. Usability wise, most screens I've come across were more novelty. This and Azoth I think are a bit more menu driven and functional
PET sheet did modify the sound, but too much 😂, it make it too high pitch, and it is more annoying than then IXPE sheet( in my POV IXPE is like amplifier, but PET is a generalizer 😅
If you are using a software to look at your battery level of your keyboard, you are using it wrong. If your keyboard doesn't have a battery, then I have no clue what you're doing here in the first place.

Thanks Scott! My friend was looking at this for his first entry into keyboards. Glad to hear that he wasn’t getting suckered by the big screen.
Overall a decent keyboard!
Alright this video actually confirms my long time suspicion on keyboard sounds on YT vs live, thank you Scott! Great video BTW as always !
You're very welcome!

Can't go wrong with the Neo65!
Matrix labs set a trend and others gotta follow, I like it but I acknowledge it isn't for everyone. But I'm super excited for the Freya still 😅

This is the best intro of any mechanical-keyboards vids.

Haha I was most impressed with that as well! I was like... How is this top mount lol
My former half plate soldered Mode Sonnet build (that had flex cuts above and below the alphas) is jealous 😂
This is very cool! Nice video

:) I should look into pet more

The ASUS Azoth displays Full PC System Information as well as GIFs, plus it's a decent gaming keyboard.
Yup! It is one of the few with a helpful screen! Didn't go too much into it because the price points are fairly different :)
Hi keybored! How do you think this compared to the feker k75
Can you please check out the gmk67 and the WS morandi switches?
Would you recommend the LK75 over the TK75 which is similarly priced?

Yes! Every time I see a new board with a screen, I think to myself “I already have that one” I don’t need another haha
@@missrespectful Yeah really haha, I don't mind it thatmuch though, at least people are trying to fit in the trend and that's cool
Haha I wonder what the next big thing is!
I wonder which came first. This keyboard or the feker75 theyrd almost identical except the larger screen on the feker 🤔
hello i have the versio 220.1.33 wich version have you my lk75 is not posible to conekt with this version
fun topic
i saw that tofu60 is out
how about a topre tofu 60 build

what keyboard on 0:42-0:43?
I’d get the board just for the keycaps!
This would be an amazing keyboard if it were not for the inability to change the date. I have scoured through forums and even reached out to the company with no response. How did you get the date to update to the correct date?
Now if the board wasn't such a polarizing style that screamed "I'm, China plastic" this would really take off.
Can you mod the gamakay tk68?
The caps on there almost look like they're trying to copy MDA plastic, but changed all the legends to be something different
A frankencap lol
1. it would be nice if you showed or listed the other keyboards shown in the video with screens
2. is this the first keyboard with a "usable" screen
Hmmm there are quite a bit lol. Usability wise, most screens I've come across were more novelty. This and Azoth I think are a bit more menu driven and functional
Would this be a good update from a rk61
I think so!
But rog azoth's screen can do all these features too... But only in wired mode
Yup Azoth does have a functional screen as well. But it does come at a higher price point!
My ROG Azoth has a dead pixel line, I guess just another perk of having a screen on your keyboard.
Dang already?
I had it for less than a month, good thing it has a 3 year warranty.
PET sheet did modify the sound, but too much 😂, it make it too high pitch, and it is more annoying than then IXPE sheet( in my POV IXPE is like amplifier, but PET is a generalizer 😅
I should check it out more!
The qk65 didn’t need a screen!
not really watching the video, but i will let it play in the backgroud and let u my like here, cy
Haha thanks!

Engrish good
Ah yes, the Vo1um knob. Really high quality $100 keyboard.
hm
Hmmmm
@@Keybored indeed
scott! don't color your hair bro, embrace the grey!!!! did your wife do this for you? haha
If you are looking down at your keyboard you are using it wrong. There is no point to have a screen there.
Helps to change the settings. It did make switching BT, etc. More convenient vs the actual typing itself :)
If you are using a software to look at your battery level of your keyboard, you are using it wrong. If your keyboard doesn't have a battery, then I have no clue what you're doing here in the first place.
Disagree : This is custom keyboards 🍏
I glance down and admire my custom keyboards all the time
I always look and admire my keeb when I start working everyday.
