NicHasegawa they should just be glad it wasn't a Sony. I had to pay $350 - $400 to repair my Sony from water damage and it took weeks, may be a month to fix. I shopped around L.A. where there are plenty of camera repair locations and most of them wouldn't even touch Sony. Next time I buy a Sony camera, I'm getting insurance on it for sure. Or any camera for that matter. Those things are expensive to fix
Oh man that sounds like a nightmare 😱 The fact that Tom and Tracey's camera fixed in an hour suddenly sounds like great service too lol! Sonys takes such nice colours tho! Hope you don't have to go through that again lol
Nic!! We miss you!! We were positive that Korea would be cheaper than Japan.. so we jumped on it and fixed it. It was definitely some 1 hour miracle work. ;) Feels better now that we are making that money back in Canada haha! We have heard the same about Sony cameras as well! Our fujifilm was also quoted a ridiculous amount when we broke it 2 years ago.. Just the inspection cost us $200CAD..?! and then they told us that the whole repair will be $600CAD (+inspection = $800total). We refused it and took the fujifilm to Taiwan and got it fixed for $200CAD!
Definitely couldn't buy the same one for just $170 :( It's totally worth it though. Lots more vlogs to come! Thank you for your support as always! - Thomas & Tracey
