- It’s almost Christmas and I’m out running around having a good time  doing my favourite thing and that is Thrifting got lots of little projects coming up for 2025. I’m gonna start working on them actually through the holidays cause I pretty much spend it alone. I’m going for a tea party over to Laurie‘s on the 23rd and this might be posted around that time but I’ll post that later. I didn’t get around to videotaping her Christmas this year and a few people had asked, but she really just wasn’t ready. It’s all good wasn’t meant to be. Brooke, I'm watching your video but had to stop and post. Otherwise, I forget what i wanted to say.
I found lamp globes that had hummingbirds on them and another that was stained glass. I put them over solar lights in my garden last summer. The colors they gave off were beautiful!! I had many people stop and ask where I found the lights.😊😊😊 I told them it was a thrift store/diy project and what I used. You could even set one over a solar light on the buffet/vanity that you use in the summer.
A handy tip - I keep a few cotton balls tucked in my purse . Use them to run around the edges of glassware. If there is a chip or flaw, the cotton will "catch" on it. I've cut my fingers a few times before using the cotton balls.
You're so sweet to share that idea, I love it!
I don't know any little girls anymore, but I'd still bought that little dresser with all the doll clothes. I would have had a blast washing & cleaning it all up & dreaming of when I was 6 years old not the 60, I am now. "Never too old to dream".... Merry Christmas Brooke🌲❤

I have to say when you get home and start washing things up for some reason that part always reminds me of my childhood thrifting runs with my mom when I was a kid. One time she found me a grey marbled plastic train case filled with doll clothes and a little vintage doll. She came home and washed up the doll clothes in the kitchen sink and we laid them out and let them dry in the sun. I loved that mini closet with all the doll clothes, so cute. So much fun 😊😊😊😊🎄🤶🏻🎅🏼❤

I still use a recipe box. The recipes are written by hand on index cards.🗃Many of the recipes were written by my late mother and other relatives and friends so it’s a joy to look at them. The original vintage box that belonged to my mother fell apart, and I’m keeping them in a boring plastic box at the moment. I need to get a Pretty Princess box to replace it.😀

Have you ever used peanut butter butter to take off the adhesive from thrift store price stickers…..it works!
No, I have glue gun it works like a charm. If it doesn’t come off in the water, I’ll use that.

Hi from England. I’ve enjoyed your recent videos. How much I wish we had giant thrift stores in England you’ll never know. Just tiny charity shops and the best stuff is nabbed by the shop volunteers before you get in there ! I reckon the globe lamp shade is more of a ceiling shade for hallway , bathroom etc but with your flare I’m sure you’ll find a lamp base for it . Your lit up little houses are very attractive and not a bit tacky. I’m looking for some in the January sales. Sorry but I’m copying you!

I discovered a linen company called CV Linens. I was looking for a particular color for a tablecloth for a class reunion. Very reasonable. I'm like you I love a great thrifted item. I’ve been busy today. I baked 4 red velvet cakes for family members and two sweet potato pies. I will complete my Christmas menu tomorrow and early Christmas morning but wanted to watch your video before turning in.
I found small frames this year at Goodwill and purchased others at Hobby Lobby, (however, they only had a few in the store and online.) I purchased the frames for next year so I have time to find more of them.

The light globe is beautiful! I think it would be pretty sitting on a sidetable with a grouping of rose bowls until you find the perfect lamp. lamp for it!

Thank you very much. If I want to choose a few roses, I’d have to find a base cause it wouldn’t sit up on its own, but I might even have one of those in my stash. I just think it might be a little too big for that one but yes, it would be good for that. It’s got a pretty narrow mouth on it though Merry Christmas thank you for your time.

U have so many thrift stores in your area! There's a few Goodwill's in my area but they're very sm. Unfortunately, the larger Salvation Army closed. Couldn't help but look up your beautiful tea pot. Brrrrr. Im listening to Nat king cole . Chestnuts 🌰 roasting on a open fire jack frost nipping at your nose. Its very frosty. It's cold. Here, but no snow. Thank goddess. Nice 🐎 🐴 🎠 🏇 🐎 🐴 book. Your village is looking very nice. I leave my Christmas stuff up a day before new years eve. I kinda try to get white decorations. Because i can leave up for New years. And silver decorations. Take the red bows off my little tabletop Christmas 🎄. I take the Christmas decorations off. And add clear hummingbirds and duckies and white geese. Silver ornements. Not hard. My tree is only 4 ft. 5 ft on the table, i have it on. I make it a seasonal tree. I leave it up. Year around. I may take down afternew years. And put my plant that's getting so big for my kitchen 🪟 😅 i like 🐖 🐷 ornements i have ornements and pictures of piggies. Lol. To much Christmas goodies. I always see you organize there shelves at thrift stores. Ive neve seen you put at the edge. What a nervous nelly that commenter is. But it is what it is. 😉 😜 i found 3 white artificial white poinsettias yesterday. Put them outside in my garden box. Got the idea from you. Thanks Brooke. I cant have crysal bowls like that i would break them. I get the fake plastic candy dishes bowls. From Dollarrama. Our shoppers drug mart having 50% Christmas decorations. And most shoppers drug mart are doing away with there eletronics area. Ghetto blasters and video game systems you name it. Reduced to clear right out on boxing day. I need a cord for my ipad going to look today for one. Im on the lookout for fabric scenery for above my bed. It's now painted and looks so empty. They Must be free. No price's 😅 is that a table or bird bath 27.55 🤔 so much stuff for next year. At all stores new and thrift. I know im like a kid in the candy store. All this Christmas decorations. Going for really cheap. Thats a nice big angel. I found a cute lamp for my oldest son. He likes to golf to relax. The lamp is a old fashioned beige and brown golf bag old black tip on toes and white golf 👞 golf clubs and a pail of golf balls. Very retro looking. Im not sure hell like it. If he doesnt. I told him I'll use it. 😅little small table top lamp. It needs a lamp shade. I can not find one. So i will check sally anns today. Hopefully i find one. Fingers crossed 🤞 😉. The DIY project. I’ve looked everywhere for tiny frames- no go! I put old Christmas tree pins on velvet in them. - a tiny spot of sparkle on a tabletop. Maybe when I’m not searching… merry Xmas, Brooke!
That’s exactly why I want them. I got eight of them. I’m really happy and I have two or three around my house already so I can use them if I need them.
I am glad to see that I’m not the only one who disposes of old book covers when Thrifting books. I love to read old Hollywood biographies, and I get all of them at thrift stores. If the cover is in really good condition, I’ll keep it but most of the time I get rid of it. I hope you have a Merry Christmas Brooke. Your videos always make my day better.

Hello Mama Brooke! First are you in Ontario! I live in Collingwood and wonder if you are near Toronto? I really loved the thrift stores you went to and I would really like the address of these store. My husband said he would take me on a sunny day as I do not know the city and I can get lost just driving in Barrie. I know I drive well if I go to the same place as I always go. Runs in the family. Yes, I’m in the West End of Toronto. You’d have to go because it depends what area you wanna go in. I go all over Toronto from east to West north to south if you ever come down though and more the downtown core let me know . I used to go to Collingwood a lot and horseshoe Valley all those places.

I recently bought one of those spinning ring dash board molecular heaters to defrost my car, I will let you know when i get it how it works.
We just do NOT have thrift stores like you have here. Its warming up here, this weather is crazy, 2 days of below zero and a few days later 45, crazy! Again, enjoy your Christmas, I will be alone also this year, enjoying myself🎄❄🏂☃🎁🎅
