Khalil stock went through the roof after the pereira fight...the moral to this story is never give up on ur dreams and ambitions.. wish khalil all the best in chasing gold....
He sits here broken nose full of humility and having earned respect. Just full of vitality when Hill can’t even attempt humility. From #8 off an unearned title shot to likeable af rn.
You cannot not love khalil man even if you tried to. Down to earth, honest and an inspiring fighter. I hope to see him get the belt wrap around him one day.
Didn’t know much about him before the fight. But hearing how happy he was to be there and how humble he is, not making excuses for why he lost and stuff he’s earned the respect of a a whole community
Khalil seems like he's looking at that Alex fight.. I learned a lot from fighting a guy like Alex. Now I need to get back to training and use this knowledge. So refreshing compared to so many fighters who just try to belittle their opponent after a loss.
you can hate him. He acts like someone very self conscious who acts a certain way in public but will wig out and become a complete b**. Would def pull the race card. You all are very quick to rate people as this or that without knowing anything about them. silly masses.
He took a ass whipping and is humble and is going to take the experience and try to better himself he’s definitely one of the fastest light heavyweights
How refreshing to hear a UFC warrior telling the truth. You won me over! I’m a huge admirer of Pereira, but yours as well now. Hope to see you fight Jamahal - extreme opposite of you. I will pay to watch you fight every time from now on. Parabéns Guerreiro! OSS.
Khalil, what a fight. I think that your career is just now going to start seeing its potential. You you are must see TV. I'll never miss another one of your fights. My hat's off to you
Khalil is such a likable guy. Comes across as a genuine stand up guy. Straight up killer inside the cage, very entertaining and fans appreciate it. Dude better be getting paid well.
Love Khalil Rountree s approach and honesty! He is wise, I found whatever level, when you fight better fighters and feel you are in the match you can improve and level up. Both mentally and the technics.
I have a lot more respect for khalil after the fight and again after this interview. I hope he gets another title shot at some point next year. When pereira moves up to heavyweight, the light heavyweight division will be 1 of the most open, if not the most, division
I am such a huge fucken fan of Khalil now. I didn't know much of him prior to this fight. The skills and spirit he showed during the fight was next level. His humility and honesty in this interview is next level. I love this guy, Big fan moving forward and I will be in his corner from here on out.
Khalil Roundtree Jr. is the true Warrior, Scholar, and (Violent, in the octagon) Gentleman. Thanks Mikey B for giving him your patented platform and great conversation for something that you don’t get on the more formal channels.👍👍🖖
What a great insight, I respect his honesty and no excuses like you get from some other fighters. He'll come back better from this. Excited to see him fight again.
Great Interview Mike! Respect to Khalil and he was really humble and honest about his cardio issue and didn't blame it on altitude or other reasons and gave all credit to Alex. Great fight and can't wait to see him back!
Top class guy, I’m now a fan won’t miss a fight. On reflection I remember jumping n screaming watching the fight it was that good but I kinda wish he didn’t take that much damage. Need to keep our fighters healthy. As entertaining as it was, my blood lust was up, but in the end of the day it’s a sport. Great interview 👊🏾
I really respect Khalil. I appreciate that he isn’t coming out here and saying “yeah Alex wasn’t that good” and he’s actually saying “yeah Alex is the best in the world rn he’s good and I did my best.” It shows his character. He’s not lying to anyone and we all know “damn, Alex is nigh unstoppable but Khalil gave him his hardest bout yet.” Respect to both
@5:42 One hundred percent! This was not just two amazing strikers that never thought about grappling and just gave us a striking war, but it was through both men, but particularly in Rountree, a demonstration of heart and mind over matter. Most men would indeed have submitted to the pain, it was inspirational to watch, and honestly, was very moving. I could see how much Pereira was hurt also, I think he had to dig deep also, but man, the heart and desire from Rowntree, what more could you ask for.
Khalil Rountree impressed the heck out of so many, myself included. Not only did he stand his ground through 4 rounds against Poatan, but his humbleness and willpower earned him the respect of the entire mma community. Excited to see what the future holds for him
Can't wait for Khalil's next fight tbh. The man really stayed true to himself and fought his fight. The better man won on the night but Khalil's definitely got more fans after.
Khalil is classy as hell in defeat. What a G. Put on a great show and had Alex on skates a couple of times. One of Poatans' hardest fights to date, if not the hardest. So much respect. Hill should take notes, lol.
I had 3 nose surgeries in my life. These stents Khalil is using are indeed uncomfortable, but the worst part is not breathing through your nose at least for 1 week after the surgery, sometimes more. Sleeping is really difficult with your nose 100% cement blocked.
Great fight sir! I can’t wait to see you go again. If I may be so bold as to say I think you need to build yer cardio more. You had a great showing until you got tired. Not much you can do after that.

Fucking legend
Khalil's approach to the loss is inspiring. He gained many fans after this one.
Someone should send this to jahmal Hill
@@thelegendthatischels i was about to post this 😂
Hill is embracing his villain role but in the worst way possible. 😂
He fought as a warrior...all respect to him...win or loss
He got everyone's respect and deservedly so. Showed he is right there and an absolute Honey Badger to boot.

They all at Danas financial mercy he probably won't fight for about 9 months & that'll be against somebody under top 5
yeah went to what it is now from zero - never heard of him before this fight but I'm a casual
Roundtree is a real gentleman, dude has got heart
Love how down to earth and humble Khalil is! Absolute lad
So nice to see a fighter so humble and honest , a true fans champion, wishing him all the best in the future👍
You cannot not love khalil man even if you tried to. Down to earth, honest and an inspiring fighter. I hope to see him get the belt wrap around him one day.
well... you can listen to what strickland said about him and kinda know.... Americans can recognize it better.. lol
@@donsimons9810 I mean honestly who gaf? He's in a weird cult ok but he just put up one of the performances at LHW as such a huge underdog
@@donsimons9810 does that make you a better human being than him? You don't have faults?

One of the most well spoken UFC fighters on the roster.

Yeah Khalil is a solid guy, I like him a lot.

So refreshing compared to so many fighters who just try to belittle their opponent after a loss.
he's humble enough to realize he got handed a gold ticket to fame by even being given the fight.
You can't hate this guy.
Well you can't but I'm sure some people can. People are like that.

The fight and Khalil's interviews post fight have turned me into a big fan of his. What a freaking warrior and so honorable in defeat.
Khalil, what a fight. I think that your career is just now going to start seeing its potential. You you are must see TV. I'll never miss another one of your fights. My hat's off to you

Khalil is a warrior. I hope he made enough money to buy a house, living in a car and doing all interviews in it is not easy 😂
He doesn't live in his car...😂😂😂

impressive guy, lots to respect here
Was already a fan of Khalil but damn, this reaction to a loss is awesome. Hes gonna come back and crush some fools. Great fight!!
This warrior should be among the top 5 in the UFC rankings !
This fella is a throwback, to a time when hard men were humble. When kids looked up to gentlemen, not the plastic idols of today.
Khalil is exactly what being a ufc fighter is all about. With this mindset he has I can only see him becoming a champ in a few years
It didn't take many minutes (as usual) for Bisping to make it about himself. Never fails. As reliable as train departure times pretty much.
Awesome guy!!
I wish people kept the same energy, the fickle fans ever
This guy is a monster!! UFC made the right thing doing that fight
Hadn’t seen too much of Khalil before this fight & build-up. Classy guy & gracious in defeat

Nice to see in this day an age with disrespectful behavior running so rampant
