2) "TV, furniture, a small Fiat, that's the fondest dream" - I suppose this part can sound ridiculous to many people, but in times when Poland was under communist/Soviet Union control (1944-1989) these things were really considered luxury goods, especially cars. In my opinion and from what I've read it's about a person who realized that his ideals and all other things he believed in are fading, that in reality no one really cares nor tries to fight for them. He feels disappointed and afraid that he'll eventually become the same, so he decides to bid goodbye to everyone (probably commits suicide). He hopes to rejoin his soulmates/friends who share the same ideals (probably on the other side). By dying young he's able to preserve his beliefs.
