Korra's character is so broody, moody, sad and melancholic. It was helpful to see her going through all that pain without the creators dulling it down. It told me: "Don't worry, there's no shame in failure, it's normal to be said; it only matters that you realize what your mistake was and grow stronger, without retconning your experience." In a world where everything that is sad seems odd and many think sadness should be banned or forgotten, it was really a relief. I hope both children and grown ups will learn from this great show, which main character was one of the best ever made.
+Pizzifrizzo this is such an important lesson to learn! Because you WILL fail in life sooner or later but just because you fail you're not done. You can learn from it and grow stronger. I guess Korra said something at the end like "I had to go through all this suffering in order to be more compassionate towards others." which is a beautiful piece of words. This show manages to tell you 'pain is part of life. you will fail and it will hurt BUT you can grow stronger when you overcome it'. We really need more kids-shows with such a theme.
oh man its bullshit isn't it that people can't just except sadness and at times try to out right ignore it so they can never feel it but thinking like that is never gonna get you true happiness no matter how hard you try
Yup. This comment. "Without the creators dulling it down". Indeed. "There's no shame in failure". That's a great message we don't hear too often especially as young people.
seter seter Korra definitely has better music. This is not a “which show is better” situation, it’s more of a “the composer got even more skilled in the span of time from ATLA to LOK.” Tends to happen when you are working in the same field for many years - you get better.
I think LOK is better in terms of music but only because of ATLA, it builds on the themes that we got in ATLA and improves them. However, while LOK's score is better sonically, ATLA's is way better in the themes of the music and how they use it in the show to signal growth and emphasis certain arcs/themes.
Every time i here these specific soundtracks of the Avatar film, it hits me right in the heart because when i first watched this show, it was one year ago in my great uncles house, i was sitting on the couch until i finished the show, ATLA and LoK, finished them both in one week, i told him why i was so happy and about this show, and he just smiled, and his smile is pictured exactly in my head, a beautiful smile indeed :), he now passed away 8 months ago, so about 5 months after finishing the show, and every time i come to his house and look at the couch i sat on to watch the show, i start crying, it reminds me of this show, of my great uncle, and his beautiful smile :')
+Lord_Jguy96 there are looooaaads of fans still around. i mean, avatar is not over. comics are being produced at the moment, even ones about korra are in the making.
I think most of us can say that avatar the last air bender and the legend of Korra are great avatar series and I wish the creators could make more avatar shows like an earth bender avatar
the legend of Korra is so much sadder than the last airbender, the music is amazing, just saw the finale and I don't know what to think, it's a great story and I enjoy it very much, but you can tell the targeted audience has changed once you've watched a few episodes. Korra has to deal with her responsibilities as the avatar while the world think the avatar isn't needed anymore. Anyways, a wonderful show and an amazing soundtrack.
LoK is sadder? In ATLA aang has to deal with losing his entire race, the southern water tribe is purged of all waterbender, and there's also the war against fire nation. ATLA is sadder :P
KapaBahamut You're right, but everything in ATLA is implied, it's true it's sad but it is a kids' show. LoK isn't as much. The atmosphere is darker, people die and it's barely censored. I though the atmosphere really made it feel sadder, but you're right about ATLA being sad too.
People die in ATLA also, Jet basically died on screen and so did all those fire nation soldiers who got attacked by the ocean spirit, hell admiral zhao was given a fate worse then death. I agree about the atmosphere though, it definitely feels more adult and also korra had more time to think about the enemies she's facing then aang did
Cricrithezar I think Last Airbender was intended to be incredibly uplifting and hopeful, but with Korra it's almost like they were targeting a much more adult and realistic outlook by highlighting her failures more than her accomplishments. There were still great fun moments and uplifting elements, but this series was definitely darker and I can't applaud the creators enough for making a cartoon so impactful. I will love these shows until the day I die. :)
Cricrithezar you just have to think that the fans have grown also ;) My opinion its that both are great and beautifull int heir own way, and its a great job that they could keep together and apart both shows. Waiting for what its coming next!
“I think we both know this... Us... Doesn’t work” “You’re right” “It’s over! For real this time” ... “I’ll always love you Korra” “And I’ll always love you”
I watched the Series every year again. I'd grown up mit Aang and her friends, and then i was adult and was watching korra. 12 years and i still love them so much.
big fan of this show i cannot describe this feeling when you Just finish a serie... it makes me so sad.. Stile in 2016 i love this show this is all my childhood#earthbenderforeverinmyheart
both shows taught me so much ill never forget them korra is my hero and if i could i would go back to when i first watched both of them i have the same feeling each time i rewatch each series thank you bryke for these two awesome shows and for continuing it in the comics
Can you believe it man, this video was uploaded before the show was even finished. It was literally the first year of LoK. Bring me back to 2012:( Simpler times
When I was a kid/teenager I didn't like Korra that much but after watching the show years later again I fell in love with Avatar Legend of Korra. The music, the villains, the art and animation and the people. Really good show.
This music is just captivating, fits the mood and setting of the show very well. This was at the tragic end of season 1 with the two brothers. Sort of a sad melancholic sweetness
Let's be honest, when we finished ATLA we felt a hole in our heart empty, when we finished TLOK, we entered into depression, Nickelodeon was the greatest in these shows...
lmaoooo are you kidding me? did you even watch their interactions during their relationship and how they broke up? if youre talking about the prude parts that cut out too suddenly then sure
You guys do realize when they broke up the second time, they kissed. Korra also cried, and they both said that'd they would always love and be there for each other. That's not toxic. Mako and Asami do care about each other, and I don't think they're relationship was toxic. However, Mako did end up with Korra for a longer period of time
I hope they do something else with the series as a whole I mean there are so many options for example continuing Korras story , doing a prequel with what happened with Aang and the Nations , or they could even do a new avatar.
I just want them to animate Promise, Search, and Rift, and then do a Korra special about the Fire Nation. We haven't really seen what LoK era Fire Nation is like.
***** The online part relates to the majority of the viewer base watching it online instead of on air. I also believe there was a concern about the ending, so they aired it online to avoid any problems.
There are simply no words to explain the beauty of this OST, each song on the soundtrack transmits something, it has something special that makes you feel different things. Each song is unique and reaches the depths of the soul. Honestly, this music is the best I've heard in any show, it's engraved in my mind and heart, it's very special to me. And so is the show, I never thought I would get attached to a series the way I did with LOK, I never believed that a series would change my life, and that a character like Korra would influence me so much. The attachment and affection I have for her is amazing, her story, everything she is and what she achieved, taught me a lot. This show is without a doubt a diamond, and in my personal opinion it is the best series ever made. Thank you Bryke for creating this indescribable masterpiece ❤️
They were mugged, by a firebender. He cut them down right in front of me. I was eight.Bolin's the only family I have left. If anything happened to him...
I always listen to this music when I need to calm down. It brings me so much nostalgia from when I was a kid and first watch this show, I didn’t know that one show can change you, now the music is special to me, even the first note moves me so much. Even back when Aang was first aired all the memories come back it’s is such a shame that some people don’t appreciate this beautiful series, soundtrack, story and powerful meaning behind it 😌😔
This was same music they played when Mako, Bolin, Tenzin, Lyn, and Asami found Korra after she escaped from Tarlok (or however you spell his name) Mako was like "yo give her some space" and Asami was jelly. XD
essa é uma série preciosa demais para ser esquecida mesmo que nem todos gostem dela mas ela conquistou um lugar especial no meu coração tantas reflexões em um lugar só obrigada Korra
yeah they uploaded music they cut out the episode and attempted to take the voices out, most did not do a good job, i mean an actually cd audio release that i can buy like i did the book 1 soundtrack
kylephantom4 i agree with him. Even though i was disappointed in the soundtrack of book 1. There were some soundtracks id love to have, but they just didnt add them to the list.
This is more of a heartwarming, main theme , and A Peaceful Place is more, like the name implies, peaceful than this.. But I'm looking for the music that plays during the final scene of Book 1: Air, Chapter 2: when Mako and Korra are looking out across the sea (Mako sitting on window pane, looking towards Air Temple Island, and Korra out the window towards Republic City (or the bending arena I like to think)) It's Soo beautiful!!! ❤️
All the time i felt so alone but Korra went trought the same and now i dont feel alone anymore because now i see that im Not the only one who went trought that😭
Even though the series is done, I still wish that every so often they could release small stories online, chronicling the highlights of certain past avatars, similar to what they did for Wan, and just as long. Also nice could be movies, not from M.Night, which feature past avatar stories, in neat, well written, tight packages. Frankly, trying to redo the series in movie form is a disaster no matter who's gonna be in charge. Each season is just too much to cram into one movie.
The winter solstice part 2 explains Roku's life in a bit of detail, and when Aang contacts his previous lives in Sozin's Comet they give a tiny explanation of their lives and their problems.
I made a mistake, there is a full episode about Roku's life, and it goes into a lot of detail about his childhood and his death. (The avatar and the firelord). I would also like a full episode about the avatars, but sadly that probably wont happen. I don't know if Yangchen's life was explained in the Rift comics, but maybe it is. I don't know.
i want to release more episode ;o; i know its over... but what happens after...? i watched the first season a long time ago but was able to watch the rest and now i have watched all four i want moreeeeeeeeee ;-; this was the ame for me with the avatar like ;( sad like depression because of a show xD well if anyone knows anything that continued along with the story please let me know because i would love to see it!
ATLA SHALL REIGN SUPREME!!!! I find LOK to be a try hard of ATLA's former glory. The old gang is gone, leaving only Katara and....Zuko? I think....Idk but I can't deny that the soundtracks in both series are beautiful, heartfelt and heart wrenching
DragonBorne You should give LoK another try. Think of it as an expanding story of the Avatar universe instead of trying to be better than ATLA. It's Traditional vs Modern, and Korra is not the pacifistic Aang. But she does learn humility as the seasons progress. The finale is beautiful btw.
I agree with Foreal 77, stick through it to the end. Seasons 1 and 2 are a bit weak compared to the rest, still good, but seasons 3 and 4 are phenomenal!
Alexander Villeneuve Believe me i gave it two tries n both times...zzzzzzzzzzzz I stopped by episode 5 of S1...I grew up with ATLA n for those who grew up with LOK....its different feels. So thanks for having me try but LOK doesn't do it for me.....
Nickelodeon, please oh please make another show for earth. (That has Bolin and Opal’s kids that are earth [and lava!] and airbenders, maybe Korra and Asami adopt a kid, Jinora and Kai have kids at an early age [My estimate is that from the episode in avatar ‘the fortune teller’ is that she was right saying that Katara is going to pass away right after her 3rd grandchild is born; so that means that it’s gonna be soon, knowing how old she is. So like in 3-5 years or so] and Makos a loner, ) It’s gonna be about a Girl (the avatar) who’s parents abandoned her in the forest or something. She was taught to bend and use the the elements and use the avatar state by the spirits, and they raised her as a child. (Kinda like how Wan was) When she becomes 14 or so, the spirits finally decide she should get a real home. She goes through one of the portals to republic city. She assumes everyone can bend all four elements, and attends a bending school; and when they ask what kind of bending she uses, she asks “What do you mean..? Doesn’t _everyone_ use all 4?” *And that’s all I’m going to come up with, because it’s literally 2:59am right now.*
It’s actually a tad different: it’s not the beginning of “Greatest Change” or the end of “Beifong’s Sacrifice.” I can’t figure out what the title of this song is, but I LOVE IT SO MUCH.
its cliched to confess my sins on the comment section of sad song but i dont care anymore... i love and hate this song at the same time. Love, because it is a really beautiful song. Hate, because it stirs up old memories. Guilt and other reasons why i hate myself. i was a child back then and i fell in love with this series, particularly the last airbender. the show came on at 6 pm everyday and i followed it without exception. At the same time my grandfather got sick with cancer. Naively(and to my horror) i had FAITH that he would get better, so i chose to skip the daily visits to the hospital. my family begged me to come but i refused. "Why would i, HE WILL be better real soon". That SOON never came. He died a month later and i just stood there watching him getting buried. I had a dream that night that he said he didnt really die but that he was off for work. I was so happy in the dream. I woke up to the painful reality where his bed was empty. I scoured the house, hoping, wishing that i might find him where he usually sat or worked. But i didnt... He was gone and i had literal mountains of grief and guilt. He died nearly 10 years ago, which is half my life ago, and i still get dreams where he promises that he never died in the first place. Do you have any idea how much i hate and love those dreams. i love them because they are the only times when i see him but they give me false hope... i wish i could ask for his forgiveness and say goodbye, as it should be. But i cant forgive myself, I dont know how. I know he is gone but in the slim chance that he is reading this, wherever or however. I just want to say: Come home, please! The family misses you. I MISS YOU!!!
I am sad the series is over and I wish the creators could of made a scene were Kora and asami are in the spirit world because the creators stopped at were Korea and asami go through the portal
Both Lok and atla were one of the best series I ever watched.
samee
Agreed
Totally agree

Lovely comment
I really appreciate your input. Thank you.
Wish I could go back in time to when I first watched this show. Watched it in 4 days, and when I finished it I entered into a deep depression.
+Jonathan Morales pantoja I know that you mean, it was the same by myselfe. XD
+Ramog1000 I am just depressed that there are no fans left.
No that is not really the situation, I know a lot of fans you only have to search for the communities.
+Calle Zekic yeah there are a lot of people
+Jonathan Morales pantoja I feel you
the music from LOK is hands down better than ATLA... but Jesus both shows get me in the feels ):
I think ATLA is better as a show but LOK has better music
Their music is both good. I don't think Korra is better.
seter seter The music in Korra is better lmao. How can anyone disagree with that? You just don’t understand what makes music great
seter seter Korra definitely has better music. This is not a “which show is better” situation, it’s more of a “the composer got even more skilled in the span of time from ATLA to LOK.” Tends to happen when you are working in the same field for many years - you get better.

I'm here ~
Me too
+Lord_Jguy96 there are looooaaads of fans still around. i mean, avatar is not over. comics are being produced at the moment, even ones about korra are in the making.
mora wereck Yeah but I can't like find any of them to hold a conversation.
Ra daS Yeah but I can't like find any of them to hold a conversation.
I still can't get over the fact that the old gang is gone and now Korra😞😢😢😢😢😖😫😩😭😭
especially the loss of korra killed me
the quiet ones rumors they are going to continue on Netflix and they are making comics
Making graphic novels is not rumor, it's official!
I think most of us can say that avatar the last air bender and the legend of Korra are great avatar series and I wish the creators could make more avatar shows like an earth bender avatar

5 seconds and I am full of goosebumps.. Truly the best soundtrack.
Wow, just thinking about all the moments in Korra. It's such an amazing show.
I'M FUCKING CRYING I WISH KORRA WOULDN'T HAVE ENDED ..I want it back 😭😭😭🌊💨⛰🔥
Taromae the avatar cycle wil go on for ever
“I think we both know this... Us... Doesn’t work”

God i love it so... that instruments.. it takes a part of my heart...
I actually learned a scientific term in Legend of Korra, Harmonic Convergence.
LOK is one of the best series of all time
I loved this track many years ago and now I found it again. Heart is now at peace.
I hope they do something else with the series as a whole I mean there are so many options for example continuing Korras story , doing a prequel with what happened with Aang and the Nations , or they could even do a new avatar.

DanteValentine16 The creators said they were stepping away from the Avatar universe, except for comics.
Raymond Harris Sad face :(
DanteValentine16 they'd end up making bad episodes/series/plot line simply for fan service, best to end on a high

Republic City looks so beautiful in this shot. Thanks for uploading this!
This is very sad and much like all LoK soundtracks, gets me crying.
I'm about to cry this makes me feel nostalgic and sad😭
just finished the series it was great
Anyone feel a little emotional looking at the astonishing background?
Lspong Anderson yup
Yes
Watching this show on nickelodeon every week as a child was so nice...
This plays if im not wrong, when Mako and Korra fall asleep under a tree.
Yes!
essa é uma série preciosa demais para ser esquecida
mesmo que nem todos gostem dela
mas ela conquistou um lugar especial no meu coração
tantas reflexões em um lugar só
obrigada Korra
Why do I feel like crying my eyes out anytime I hear the soundtrack??
I think we deserve more episodes in the legend of Korra Atla felt like they had almost 100 eps
Finesse ya
because atla has 61 episodes +1 lost episode , while lok is only 52 episodes, despite having more seasons. The show was robbed
The soundtrack is so damn peaceful , it genuinely relaxes me
Jose Castaneda Yeha
Agreed very annoying stupid ads ...... Korra is amazing and you can learn alot through this show..
I hope they release book 2 soundtrack soon
They did............
no they didnt.....i hope you know im talking about book 2 of korra and not atla
Kyle. They did release korra soundtrack of book 2. People uploaded it..

There are comics for ATLA and LOK, and the LOK one has been confirmed to be out in 2017, and there are a bunch of ATLA comics.
***** I meant other than the comics. Actually animated works, like Wan's story.
The winter solstice part 2 explains Roku's life in a bit of detail, and when Aang contacts his previous lives in Sozin's Comet they give a tiny explanation of their lives and their problems.
***** I think you misunderstood my initial comment, in that I don't want those tiny accounts, but full episodes of Avatars we've never seen before.

My girlfriend of 2 years left me, today. I feel like asami right now. This is hers and my theme.
when i finished in show both atla and atlok, i became so depressed and lost all passion for life.
FatLi TheLi MEEE
I'm on season 4 ep3 right now. I'm going to be so sad when it ends. I really don't want it to end so I'm watching it really slow.
Is there anything more annoying then clicking on a relaxing music video and you get exposed to the loudest and most annoying ad ever.
i want to release more episode ;o; i know its over... but what happens after...? i watched the first season a long time ago but was able to watch the rest and now i have watched all four i want moreeeeeeeeee ;-; this was the ame for me with the avatar like ;( sad like depression because of a show xD well if anyone knows anything that continued along with the story please let me know because i would love to see it!
I lost my heart in Republic City.
kookygremlin24 rip
ATLA SHALL REIGN SUPREME!!!! I find LOK to be a try hard of ATLA's former glory. The old gang is gone, leaving only Katara and....Zuko? I think....Idk but I can't deny that the soundtracks in both series are beautiful, heartfelt and heart wrenching
and Toph
Foreal 77 FO REAL!? Daaaaaaamn! I bet she a blind ole lady tho XD but still the best earth/metal bender of all time!
DragonBorne
You should give LoK another try.
Balance and change are the best
This sounds like something out of Journey
I'm still have that empty feeling after season 4 finale. Dragon Prince is kind of helping.
Doesn’t _everyone_ use all 4?”
*And that’s all I’m going to come up with, because it’s literally 2:59am right now.*
Omg the dedication in this comment a true Avatar fan 😭
Wallpaper reminds me of Vancouver,Canada
firefei87 ya it does
The Chinese instrument that's used is called Ehru.
This song plays in Season 1 Episode 9 around the end fyi
Also when Mako and Korra fall asleep under the tree in the park in the middle of S1E3.
Also, this is called "Greatest Change".
It’s actually a tad different: it’s not the beginning of “Greatest Change” or the end of “Beifong’s Sacrifice.” I can’t figure out what the title of this song is, but I LOVE IT SO MUCH.
Lowkey the music from LOK makes me wanna cry
Gosh avatar is the only only animated series that have me feeling so many emotions it’s just ugh I miss it so so much
Try Steven Universe that show got me crying so many times
Thanks bro
this reminds me of the mountain when we sit in do meditation
I would love to live in Republic City. Too bad it’s impossible :’(
its cliched to confess my sins on the comment section of sad song but i dont care anymore...
i love and hate this song at the same time.
Do you have any idea how much i hate and love those dreams. i love them because they are the only times when i see him
but they give me false hope...
i wish i could ask for his forgiveness and say goodbye, as it should be. But i cant forgive myself, I dont know how.
I know he is gone but in the slim chance that he is reading this, wherever or however.
I just want to say:
Come home, please!
The family misses you.
I MISS YOU!!!
Victor Bruwer You cannot hold onto the mistakes of your past- you must learn and move on.

Whats the soundtrack called whre u can here a xylophon? This ost is beautiful!
Ok When is the new episode of The Legend of Korra being showed
I am pretty sure there is no violin. Jeremy likes to use Chinese instruments. That is what makes his music so unique.
Does anyone know what this song is actually called from TLOK?
Can I have a link to the picture please!
alright, i love the music for book 2, but does anyone know where i can find the actual soundtrack list?
just type soudntrack aand it pops out 1.30 hour music
that;s it!!!
ATLA is better overall imo but TLOK’s music is UNTOUCHABLE🔥🔥🔥
2018😊
