  • I talk all about the history of the PolyMega, the process of getting one, the many shortcomings of PlayMaji, the unboxing and setting up of the PolyMega, my experience with installing and playing games, the controller options, and potentials for growth with the console in the future.
If you want to know about the console at all, I probably cover your questions here.
Also, I mentioned a film in this video. Here is that film: • The Sicks | Short Film

Just a tip: if you are using any original/ third party controllers (which don't have the "Polymega Button"), and want to get to the Polymega's system menu, you can press Up+Start on your controller. It isn't necessary to restart the system. Sorry to hear that your original video footage had issues. Cheers.

My advice - get the RetroBlaster Mini Programmer/Dumper, RetroBlaster Mini Cartridge adapters, USB-C cable (for connecting it to the Polymega), and the MicroUSB cable for the N64 Mini Cartridge adapter.

I'm planning to get the Polymega because I have tons of Sega Saturn games and a couple of PS one games and Sega CD games. I might get the Genesis module because of the 32x games with my collection of Genesis games. I wonder if backups and Repros work as well?

It depends on the cart. I have a repro of Twinkle Tale and Wily Wars - Twinkle Tale worked but Wily Wars did not. A lot of homebrew/indie games were also hit or miss as far as what would or wouldn't work - even from the same company, like Watermelon, some of their games (Sacred Line Genesis 1 & 2) worked and others (Pier Solar and Paprium) did not.
I did find that Sonic & Knuckles not only worked, but the PM also recognized the other Sonic games being passed through it. So I have all four possible versions installed - Sonic & Knuckles, Sonic the Hedgehog + Knuckles, Sonic 2 + Knuckles, and Sonic 3 & Knuckles. So if you've got a lot of Genesis and 32X games, it's probably worth grabbing that module for sure.

I ordered my Polymega on April 5th, received it on April 13th, got the deluxe bundle so I got all the modules besides the N64 one. I'm really happy with the console. I had a few issues but they were sorted in their discord and i'm eagerly waiting for system update 1.1.32. Right now i'm on 1.1.22 (had an issue with updating and ended up staying on .22) but other than that and maybe 1 game causing the console to lock up and not read, i'm very happy with it :)

Yeah, .32 should fix the stuttering issue with the SNES emulation, as well as the wifi crashing bug. And it could potentially have a bunch of other stuff in it as well. Sounds like, from what's being said on the Discord, that it should be coming in the next few weeks, so we'll see!
