I don't know if he considers GDP growth a means to gauge a country's economic performance . Considering how other countries are doing , I think india has done very well on economic front. Highway development pace is good , electrification of villages , railway tracks is happening really fast. As far as the inflation is concerned, it is highly dependent on external factors as well , broken supply chain , russia-ukraine war etc, global recession. Just to get an idea, have a look at the economic growth of other countries and inflation in developed countries

Well, it's tough to say anything when you say about GDP growth and development. Countries like North Korea too develop roads and train tracks, and their GDP is good too fro their country. Same with China, like China is the big daddy, but in villages they are still dirt poor, not enough money to buy anything apart from rice, so they feed on bat meat, centipedes, etc, which costs way more less than chicken/pork/beef. Same with India. We are poor, that's a fact. I am an engineer from a Govt college in Kolkata, and things are not going well. If you are not an IT guy from any IITs or NITs, your life is fucked up. There is virtually no job, and if there are some, you need connections to go in. Bank jobs, teacher jobs, etc are rigged, and other jobs are closing down because factories are closing down. We need a govt who will spend on factories and invite investors, for that, our PM and ministries needs to invest a lot, a lot of time on Businesss and everything related to that, but what we see is Agriculture, LPG rates, Muslims, etc. There is not a single, a single work done by BJP for industries. 4 so called "Mega Projects" has failed in Gujrat, HAL is in midst of bankruptcy, Vande Bharat factories cannot get parts because other factories doesn't have any funds, and are importing things from China. And yes, it's BJP govt which is the problem. iPhone manufacturers it's case in India, by Tata factories, but the acceptance rate was 50%, other 50% didn't meet standards. Tata asked Govt for subsidies to import many machine parts, as they were way highly taxed, 150-200%, but govt didn't even reply and the factory closed down. Till date, iPhone are assembled in India, not created here. Same way, Chinese Govt imported whatever apple asked from Enemy country Korea and Taiwan. That's the difference between someone who is doing business and the other who is SHOWCASING business. The amount of Roads Modi ji built in 10 years is the same as Romans built in 10 years, and Romans did it 3000 years ago, and we are being happy about that. It feels like our expectations has been curbed and we are happy eating daal roti and never dream about naan and paneer. It's just sad now... We are dirt poor, 70% of country earns below 1Lakh per month, we are no global leader, we are a 3rd world country with big aspirations.

I don't know if he considers GDP growth a means to gauge a country's economic performance . Considering how other countries are doing , I think india has done very well on economic front. Highway development pace is good , electrification of villages , railway tracks is happening really fast. As far as the inflation is concerned, it is highly dependent on external factors as well , broken supply chain , russia-ukraine war etc, global recession. Just to get an idea, have a look at the economic growth of other countries and inflation in developed countries
Darling u seriously have no idea about real India. Our hUman development index has not changed for last decade much,which means we have just not improved relative to world. But anyhow if people are so happy and content being a 2000 usd pci income country. We will always be 1/6 th of china if we don’t stop appreciating mediocrity

Secondly, I have a rural background and I continuously visit my home town and my paternal village so your assumptions are wrong. Thirdly, India has been doing well in HDI from past decade, the decline in the index in past 2 years is because of the decrease in life expectancy because of an unprecedented event of Cobvid which is pretty much in line with the world trends, apart from that the education level and the quality of life is actually increasing. Do give a detail read to the UN's report on that. Statistics is an interesting thing, you can be very selective at drawing your attention to few stats and conclude something in your favour

Well, it's tough to say anything when you say about GDP growth and development. Countries like North Korea too develop roads and train tracks, and their GDP is good too fro their country. Same with China, like China is the big daddy, but in villages they are still dirt poor, not enough money to buy anything apart from rice, so they feed on bat meat, centipedes, etc, which costs way more less than chicken/pork/beef.
Same with India. We are poor, that's a fact. I am an engineer from a Govt college in Kolkata, and things are not going well. If you are not an IT guy from any IITs or NITs, your life is fucked up. There is virtually no job, and if there are some, you need connections to go in. Bank jobs, teacher jobs, etc are rigged, and other jobs are closing down because factories are closing down.
We need a govt who will spend on factories and invite investors, for that, our PM and ministries needs to invest a lot, a lot of time on Businesss and everything related to that, but what we see is Agriculture, LPG rates, Muslims, etc. There is not a single, a single work done by BJP for industries. 4 so called "Mega Projects" has failed in Gujrat, HAL is in midst of bankruptcy, Vande Bharat factories cannot get parts because other factories doesn't have any funds, and are importing things from China.
And yes, it's BJP govt which is the problem. iPhone manufacturers it's case in India, by Tata factories, but the acceptance rate was 50%, other 50% didn't meet standards. Tata asked Govt for subsidies to import many machine parts, as they were way highly taxed, 150-200%, but govt didn't even reply and the factory closed down. Till date, iPhone are assembled in India, not created here. Same way, Chinese Govt imported whatever apple asked from Enemy country Korea and Taiwan. That's the difference between someone who is doing business and the other who is SHOWCASING business.
The amount of Roads Modi ji built in 10 years is the same as Romans built in 10 years, and Romans did it 3000 years ago, and we are being happy about that. It feels like our expectations has been curbed and we are happy eating daal roti and never dream about naan and paneer. It's just sad now...
We are dirt poor, 70% of country earns below 1Lakh per month, we are no global leader, we are a 3rd world country with big aspirations.
