    I think its a real shame that Jay Leno was replaced on the Tonight Show by Jimmy Fallon, since while Jimmy Fallon can do a type of physical comedy which Jay Leno cannot do, that is Jimmy's only advantage over Jay. Jay's stand up comedy is the best in the business (as witnessed in this brilliant monologue. The joke at 7:25 is sheer brilliance LOL!) and most importantly he connects with all his guests and the audience because he possesses a very rare quality in Hollywood - he is G-E-N-U-I-N-E. This in not to say that Fallon is not good. He is but Jay is better.
    I get the feeling that Jay has convinced himself that it was time to go but deep down would have continued at least until his 30th year. After all, he still continues his stand-up routine. I dont buy the reasoning that he was getting too old to be interviewing 20-something guests. This is NBC executive's thinking, not Jay's. His show was not called "Dancing with the Stars" where age would be an issue. After all, Johny Carson was older thanJay when he retired. I'm sure if you have to ask every guest on a talk show, even the 20-somethings and definately the kids, who is their favorite interviewer they would say Oprah and Jay Leno, since both of them are genuine and make one feel at ease during an interview. The fact that Jay Leno is friends with so many celebrities in Hollywood shows one just how much he is liked.
    I think the real reason he was replaced (by the way, while he was still number one in ratings) was because he pissed off NBC's executive in his monologues which trashed NBC. The executives must have used his age as a weak excuse to replace him.

    I love Israel and I love Leno, but I don’t think American humor translates well. Very few jokes seem to work in this monologue.

    I wish the camera-man would hold the camera still while filming ... Jay was great, but couldn't enjoy the video, the way it kept moving around. ~~ MM

      Hi Tvook,
      Israel has always targeted civilians. For a history of this kind of thing, see Israel's most respected military historian Ze'ev Schiff.
      For discussion of the Cast Lead slaughter operation, see "Exterminate the Brutes" by Noam Chomsky - a Jew, and the world's foremost cognitive scientist and analyst of US foreign policy.
      For an introduction to Israel's Protective Edge serial massacres, see recent piece by Gideon Levy in Israel's most-respected newspaper Ha'aretz: Israel Washed itself Clean of Gaza's dead beach children.

      +Yechiel Gordon ...Name me a war where innocents have not been killed ??

    • @yechielgordon6847
      @yechielgordon6847 8 лет назад

      +Fred Bohm Good point! Israel has not merely killed people accidentally in the course of war. It has always intentionally targeted civilians in war and in the course of attacking civilians in Lebanon, Egypt and Occupied Palestine. For background see Norman Finkelstein and Noam Chomsky.

      Yechiel Gordon
      ..Easy to kill innocents when your enemy uses civilian buildings, schools, hospitals ,etc to launch missiles from and then likes to use the collateral damage as PR against you. You are naive.

    • @yechielgordon6847
      @yechielgordon6847 8 лет назад

      +Fred Bohm Yes, according to international law, Israel, as occupier, is not allowed to fire a single rocket or gun shot into Palestine. Israel's Hasbara propaganda machine continues to make the unfounded claims you point to, with approximately zero supporting evidence. For background, see Exterminate the Brutes, a talk given a few years ago at the MIT Institute fir Strategic Studies. Israel's genocidal policies continue.
